Levy County Sheriff's Deputy Kanesha Carnegie saw three men stop to help an 89-year-old woman and her 100-year-old husband to their car in a Florida parking lot this week. She said she had to stop and film the touching moment. "I went over to assist them, and when I got there ... they kind of had it under control," she explained. "I thought at the time they looked really beautiful and that was a nice view to see. I stepped back and I just videoed them." #InsideEdition

When i was in my early 20s I was in line behind a woman at Walmart. She had RA to the point where her hands were like fruit roll ups. They just curved in on themselves. I was like two people behind her. After I got checked out I went to my car with my groceries, and in the parking lot I saw her, still trying to get her trunk open. I stopped and opened her trunk for her, then she asked if I could start her car. It was before push starts and she couldnt get the key in the ignition. She used one of those knobs bus drivers use to drive. I think about that lady all the time and hope she got someone to help her full time. She was so nice. Just stop and help random people when you can. It will stick with you.

This is almost similar what happened to my mother 6 years ago. I had taken my elderly parents to see a movie on a cold snowy day and on the way out of the movie theater my mother slipped and fell and my dad and I was trying to help lift her up and these two gang member looking guys stop to help me and my dad get my mother up and they helped her get to the car. It was so nice of them to stop and help. After the men had left I told my parents did you know that they were gang members and they didn't believe me. They just thought that they were the nicest guys to stop and help.
@First._.Last.
@First._.Last. 4 ай бұрын
So....I ask this in absolute earnest and hope that there is a clarifying explanation: What transpired in those few minutes so that the two men went from "gang-member-looking" to *gang members* ? If there is no missed information, I must heave a very deep sigh.

@vice2versa
@vice2versa 4 жыл бұрын
@@j.martin624 Not trying to perpetuate a stereotype, I was just casting a light on why this video is news worthy. It's news worthy almost entirely because of the way they look. Thuggish might not have been the best word to use. I think "hood" would have been more accurate. Hood culture has it's own sense of style and fashion which can look thuggish to many people, especially those not used to it. their style of dress looks "hard" in a way. Even white dudes that grew up in hood environments often have that "hard" look to them. I'm black, grew up in a hood environment and dress sort of similar, only main difference is I don't sag my pants, it's uncomfortable. I used to in high school because I thought it looked cool but it was annoying. I know very well the type of look that makes others weary around you, mainly cops and white people.
