Check out the nemesis Colossal 8” suppose to be better than the sundown X8 sub. Voice coil is even flat wound. So it can take some power

Try those Hutchinson neo 8's 750rms conservatively. They look the part for sure.

cadillacon24z my friend Ronnie Smith told me what those can and can’t do... he said it not louder than the x8v3.... besides that right now I testing reasonable price subs anyone can afford. I am not paying 300+ for and 8” Justin have a neo motor and it’s still can’t out do the X8v3

@@M.B.Enclosures well, I didn't know louder was the only qualities that you were looking for. Sure the x8 may be louder, but maybe there are other subs that have better sound, dynamic range, and more cosmetically appealing. My bad, I just got the impression that you're looking for other possible 8's to try. Ronnie's application of that sub doesn't necessarily mean that you wouldn't be happy or impressed with it with your application. I think he deals with 6th orders and I've only seen you deal with basic ported. I love your vids and info and I support what you're doing 👍🏾

cadillacon24z no harm bro, no foul...lol. I really don’t care for the cosmetically appealing aspect. I hear bass not see it.😊 I think those are gimmicks manufacturers use to sell a sub. I am sure it a great sub the ETA-8.. maybe I will visit it one day. Currently though I am trying to go through these relatively fair p price. 8’s...

@@M.B.Enclosures I understand. Keep doing your thing sir. Everyone wants to be a star and not willing to educate the viewers. Most of these famous KZfaq cats don't even know what they're doing or talking about. They got all these kids going in debt trying to be like them instead of teaching them how it works

I’ve been wanting to put these in 2003 single cab Silverado 2500, but I wasn’t sure if my stock battery and alternator would handle. What do you think?

You need to improve your power supply first! Sufficent power supply and electricity is ALWAYS the PRIORITY!! you need to supply "clean" and "consistent" power to your devices,

Quinton Litton yes.... these are an upgrade... more efficient and pay the lows much better

I'm doing budget 8" testing. One enclosure at 2 cubic feet tuned to 33hz after displacements. Sundown Ev.5, Skar MA and Soundqubed HDS. Another 8" subwoofer I was eyeing was by Dead Game DG8 and the G2 Dynamics Genesys 8". I know Ronnie has done some testing on both with a lot of power.

Not really.. but it still a great 8”. Sounds better in the lows in my opinion than the X8

@@M.B.Enclosures well i was thinking of replacing my down firing jl-w3 10”, for a quad stack of 8” forward firing. Im not sure if it would even be worth the transition to be honest. 8” subs werent even a thing when I was bumping back in the day lol. I know the Jl are top notch, and if the w7 wasnt such a long setup, id just spend up to get a pair of them.
