Not sure if anyone has already mentioned it, but I think that putting your Taramp amp in front of your port hole would maybe be more beneficial because as the air comes out it can also cool down your amp.

When im using a jumper wire I cut the ends shorter, and run one end of the wire too the back of the terminal, kind of a pain sometimes, and the other too the front of the terminal lead instead of trying too twist the wire together and cram them into one side of the leads, some subs are easier than others too do this but it’s cleaner and you have better connections and less resistance, love seeing the progress!!!!!👍

I'm running literally the exact same setup in my Jetta only difference is I need to upgrade my box. These subs definitely need the airspace they recommend. American bass subs for the win all day!

I'd say build a amp rack that way the possibilities for fans and more amps in the future if you decide to change up your build 1500 times later down the road like we all do.lol but in the mean time I personally like it under the port that way that 12k has plenty of airspace to breathe, it's out of the way and it's easy to access. I have just a Taramps 3k and it has a built-in fan that works really well but it still gets hot af. Love what your doing man love the budget builds you do for people that don't have 10k to drop on a competition build. For the bass heads on a budget 😂 Awesome man!!!

NVX is on sale specially the 12" $149.99 Triple stack magnet, 25.7mm Xmax ... this American Bass has only 13mm Xmax, on Dual magnet. NVX kill this subwoofer. Only $5 more dollars.

I have my wolfram c2400.1 mounted on the side of my box with my elite 12s. Have had absolutely zero issues with it. Doesn’t get any hotter and no vibrations at all. I also have my mid/high amp mounted on the back of the box. Again, no issues.

Thanks for your reviews I say that cause I went ahead and got two elite 1544 and they hit. I'm not going to mess with the xfls if I don't have to anymore that's how impressed I was with the elites. And they handles the lows just as good as the xfls I had.

Very clean setup 👌 but you should just make a amp rack along the left side over the cup holders. I would definitely cut the curve out under the hole by the cup holders, cover it all -along the inner quarter panel with half inch wood. Also leaves you room for batteries the peace would be 2' / 3' length 10" / 12" height with a 90 degree at the top contouring the the angle where the cup holders are all the way to the back 👍

I just bought 3 American bass tnt 15s, just finalized plans for the new box, cannot wait to start on it, 3 15s on 3k gonna be nasty! I have two of the 15s inverted in a 2.5ft3 each prefab ported box, no specs on tuning but think real high 30s and I'm already impressed with these things in a too small box tuned waay too high...can't wait for all 3 in proper box tuned to 28hz! My 4 8s were nasty but these things r gonna be disgusting! Awesome vid as usual Parker!

Great video, and an amazing system you have going there. ☺ The issue with mounting an amp to the box is not from the box moving. It is when the subs vibrate the box, it can shake the resistors inside the amp loose. So it adds extra ware to the amp.

@@KCG-dq8gk if you have 2 dual coil subwoofers than you'll have 4 coils in all. That's 2 coils per subwoofer.

One big difference in this setup and being loud is the space. Your jeep had an over all less cabin space as to where your Sequoia is at several cubic feet larger.

Build a battery cover and mount it on top of the batteries. Horizontal position puts less stress on internal components when you hit bumps and have vibration and those cap just have little wire legs holding them on but probably only matters in the rilly long term life I had 2 alpine amps one vertical and one horizontal the vertical one lasted 8years horizontal one still going 15 years later.

I bought a 300 amp alternator for my F350 on Ebay for under $200... with a warranty... And build an amp rack over the batteries... theres your space saver... Plus they have amp racks available too... Cant wait to see what you decide...

Love it BRO. I'm sticking with my single 15 but I'm liking the subs u using 4 now. I may have missed it but did u ever meter any subs. I'm tickling the 149.db. lol. And that's not maxed. I imagine u do way better. I got crappy scrap wood box but it's all in the design right.

I have the American Bass Elite 1544s with a CAB 2000.1. Gna have a CAB 2000.1 on each of them here shortly. With 14.6 v of power at the amps. Love my American Bass. In a 2/1 4th order, 3.5cu ft ported for each sub, and 1.75 sealed for each. Tuned high at 44hz to be musical and still hit the lows.

I would build an L shaped bracket out of wood on the side of your wood floor. The bottom of the L is screwed to the wood and the amp mounted to the vertical side. You can mount it to the side or the front. Of course have to secure the wood so it doesn't move around. Could make a 45 degree bracket up front or a 70 degree mounting pad. Just whatever you wanted to make it out of. But I def would not mount it to the box. Vibration is one thing that kills those Taramps but you will have to take the amp on and off when your changing boxes out doing tests. and that will suck.

My vote is amp behind the seat. Shouldn't have a problem with venting and I personally think it would make the install look a bit cleaner.

Heck yeah, once you get that taramps in you should definitely go with a set of skar vfx 12's or zvx's they're on a whole new level from everything you've played with thus far... I'm currently running 4 Sundown SA15'S on two skar SKv1-3500.1's strapped and I have 2 soundqubed q-4500.1's and 4-X15D2'S that I plan to upgrade to once the weather gets warmer here in New York! Be able to take the 150+db sticker off and switch to a 155+ hopefully

I'm only 7 seconds in and I stopped to make this comment I've been watching you for awhile now and I used to always wonder to myself why you would always bang with one sub and you answered it to another comment or you said something on one of your videos and I remember you saying that with two subs you have more cone area so right there and then I knew do you know what you're talking about so the fact that I'm about to watch a video with two subs in it this one makes me happy 🙈 can't wait to check out plus it's the sub that I like Kudos thumbs up before I even see it!

When I got back into car audio I got the long ass AP 3k then I got the APMI 2k. Now I have a Stetsom 6k but I’m about to get either the Stetsom 8k or 10k or the Taramps 8or 10k I know taramps have a knob with a clip light but I cut wholes in my back seats long ago so luckily I can see the clip light on the amp if I look back or at night by the reflection on my windshield. But I want to get a super cap as well bout 900$+. Rock Brazilian ya so what Big D blew some up just gotta be xtra carful with them bad boys.

Considering how sturdy that box is plus you have it screwed down I would say that there's barley any vibration definitely not enough to hurt the amp if it was mounted on the side and you said you would put feet on it to reduce vibration with that there should be no vibration. So with that being said I think on the side of the box is fine.

I'm talking about all Brazilian amps they love high voltages over 14 but the two ohm model can put out more watts and use less amps pulled from your battery but you done spent the cash on a 12k then just use that to you get the right power needed for the amp.

I've had bad luck with amps under the seats. I ha e been installing for over 25 years and everytime I see one under a seat someone has dumped something on them..definantly not my go to mounting place, though sometimes u don't have any other choices

You should setup a Patreon bro. And btw, I wish you would have gotten the 4Runner with the 4.7 V8 instead of the Sequoia with the same V8 motor. You save over a 1000 pounds with the 4Runner with the same motor, and almost have the same space in the back hatch as the sequoia. I have a 4Runner with the same i-force V8 and it fits 2 18’s or 4 12’s with know problem. Without burning near the gas as the sequoia

Aslo something id suggest is putting a board up close to the tail gate screwed to your floor and few supports on the side and youll eliminate some of the tail gate rattle..i did and it sounds better

If you are reading .7 you are wired to .5 not 1ohm . Touch your leads on your multi meter together, and you should read about .2 too .3, that is the resistance of your leads on your meter, whatever that number is you subtract that so, if you take .7 and subtract, roughly.2 you get .5. Just a heads up

They are dual 4ohm subs, they can't be wired to .5ohm.. only 1ohm or 4ohm man, not all coils meter out perfect.. To wire to .5ohm he would need two dual 2ohm subs and he dont..

tankdog03 yes you are correct he did say they were dual 4s, but he should check both subs to make sure they are dual 4 it happens more than you think I’m running a DD 9515 at .5 on a m3c it’s a dual 1 he should not be reading.7 that what mine reads at .5 that’s how resistance works

Paused at 12:50. IF you decide to mount that amp to the box, be sure to use rubber or something like that between the amp and box. Rubber grommets in the amplifier mounting holes I hear works fine. Directly mounting any amp to a subwoofer enclosure (especially when they are that powerful) is not recommended but can be done with caution. That particular amp contains high voltage caps. That brand has been known to have issues with cap explosions. They're awesome amps, I'm not trying to be discouraging. I'm just passing the knowledge and thinking about the videos of car audio fires and would hate to see you have any issues. Now I'm going to finish watching the vid. 😎👍

BTW. Never use water! Use dry chemical extinguishers only. Water makes lithium flair up.

For real, I would be very interested in buying these 2 subs, or any number of others. Or even a reasonably priced raffle would be cool. I had Soo much stuff I had aquired when I was doing installs and selling different amps speakers and boxes it was rediculous. Now I'm down to just 2 amps, some 4 and 0 gauge wire and an old fosgate sub that feels blown in a medium size sealed box. I Soo need to find a decent used sub and box and some good 6x9's to add to the mids and highs.. God willing I can get there REALLY SOON cause I am having Bass withdrawals since selling my Xterra with the system in it for a buddy of mine.. all setup sweet, 0 gauge running to the 1k CCA marine battery in the back next to the amps with a breaker next to the other 1k CCA battery under the hood, plus big 3+ done with perfect clean ground's and crimped and soldered terminals at every point etc.. damn I miss that system, but least I know I'll have something way better by tax time, or if I can sell some of the high performance outboard motor boat engine stuff I have in stock..

Hey Parker, I noticed you didn't use both terminals on your amp. It's a 1 channel amp you can use both terminals because it's internally bridge. Nice build definitely do not mount the amp on the box...

I miss the 90's, when 250 watts was "a bunch". Even pros could make 100 watts sound amazing! At about a dollar a watt who could afford an amp that big? Even now, I'm planning my build around 400 watts total. Don't need that much spl! But cool though!

I just installed 2 elite 1544 in my 13 Chevy tahoe on an audiopipe apcle 1500 and its extremely load and the subs are barely moving 8 cubic ft. tuned at 35 herts

Man I feel you on the alt being way at the bottom though for the big 3 :/ You know try the 4 ohm load first please so you want burn up the amp on 1 ohm on your taraamp HIGHLY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!! stay away from decaf songs and slowed down songs those subs are not meant for low lows like means and your sub box is not made for low lows either remember you have a spl sub box

I run a single audiopipe bd4 12" in a 2.5 cubic feet box, with the port tuned at 26htz and constantly run low lows. It handles it just fine. Being as theses subs are of a little bit better quality, I'd say that it will be fine. Great work Parker!

@@TheBestOrion These subs will not play 26hz due to the 1 inch of xmax and it has a spl cone on it :D LOL But my X-10s hits 20hz with no problem

Love the reviews. I love the old school music 😍. Have you tried any of DJ Magic Mike bass song's? That was the bass we had back in the late 80's very early 90's. If you haven't, check it out. You'll like it 😉.

When you go to get a tape or CD for your system and there is a song that has a warning saying “Speaker Terror Upper” you know it’s good...plus the play on words n misuse of terror....love some feel the bass👍🏻👍🏻😂😂

How do these compare to the XFL’s? I just purchased 2 over the holiday season and I’m pretty sure I’m giving em about 1k but due to electrical I can’t crank em full tilt yet. SOON!! So because of that just wanted to know your opinion on how they compare. Love your vids by the way!

XFLs are definitely better but these elites are great if they fit in the budget better
