Would have liked to see how you did the wiring from the main wires to the other 2.

He basically did? One set of wires jumps from the main to the next. then another set of wires jumps from that box to the next.

After 3 years, this video is still helpful. How do you distribute the pendants? Every 1/4 of the island? Or is there a way to calculate the light all over the area of the island? Any thoughts? Thank you!

I know this a bit late but the old work box isn't technically rated for ceiling fixture support - so not up to code. However most of those pendants lights weight practically nothing so I would do it in my own home anyway but maybe throw a piece of 2x4 up there to distribute the weight.

Absolutely correct. In my head, I would never consider hanging a fan or a chandelier from it. I’d get one of those expanding bar type boxes. I should have probably disclaimed that. I sometimes forget that people don’t know any better.

Great job! I have to do this same exact fix. Does going from 1 light fixture to 3 pendants affect the breaker load or is it equivalent?

Hey brother, really good and helpful video for sure. What Iggy Gan said though. I would've liked to see what you meant by wiring it up 'daisy-chained' or star or however you said that. Would love to have seen and hear you explained how you wired this up. I'm having to do this exact thing on my ceiling. Got 3 pendant lights that are going up on a 12° sloped ceiling. All three are running parallel to a ceiling joist but I'm not sure if they're close enough to nail to. I'll determine that tomorrow. Maybe can adjust them slightly enough to get there and nail the electrical boxes to that stud. But not sure how to wire them up or even 'fish' the wires thru to where I want them.
