The new EVOR04 Slimline gives us various options that were not available previously. It nicely fits in a 3rd Generation Philips DCC 951 or DCC 730.
The programmable VU meter and Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope etc, etc etc, are a really nice upgrade to any system.

That's a really nice job! But I would love to see some more footage of the screen in action with the whole player in the frame of the video

Hmmm, the original display of the DCC951 can be toggled through modes, including exact dB metering which is extremely useful to avoid clipping analog recordings...

I like the theme with the DCC900 style meters with the dccmuseum logo above the best. Digital needles don't work for me.

Could you explain your next button switch hookup better. Which Ux connections did you use. Is the rotary switch separate from the NO button.? A schematic of the hookup would be nice.

WOW that is truly amazing... i can't stand these guys lol They come out with coolest things for dcc and i no longer have a unit.. But then again. maybe who knows maybe they will become popular again enough to start making new units again. One can only hope... i sure miss my dcc recorders. smh I even miss the DCC-L user forums . You used to be able to go back and read the very old posts but not anymore.

2 questions. Does this give the 730 "normal" record level metres when trying to set the record level using analogue. Secondly, is there an external housing option so you don't have to dremel out the front facia?!

I would mot say “normal” record as the are not set to 0db, but you can set them to be used like that. There is also the option to have the external box 3d printed. Bit more cable work but it works.

The cutout should have the same space along the front panel edges like the center panel, You originally cut it too close to the edges especially on the left side that's what gave it a bad look.

There was a reason for that. The player had fallen in that side and there was damage. Someone also left a cigarette burning so a nasty mark on top as well. The holes for the analog VU just about covered that. Now we had to go bigger. We were so impressed with the results that we used another front to start from scratch.
