In this video, I remove the center muffler to install a Sharkwerks X pipe to improve the exhaust sound on my 3.4L 991.1 Porsche 911.

I bought the same X pipe and am planning to install it this weekend. I wasn't anticipating the issue with the cat converter bolts. I'm praying I don't have that issue because I don't have a lift. Just using jack stands. If those bolts are jammed/stripped it will be tough.

Good luck, maybe you'll luck out. I had to remove the exhaust on my 996 to do the Gundo hack and had no problem with any of the fasteners. Let us know how you make out.

Great video and helpful...even for a 997.2. Most curious about how you like your MaxJax? I have been looking at them for a while as I only have 9' ceilings.

The MaxJax is great. Next best thing to a full size lift if you have to work under the vehicle. If you do get one, you have to get a reclining creeper. The position in the creeper is excellent for the height of the lift. You can work comfortably and with full range of motion. Without one, it would be awkward to work at that height imo.

Great upgrade and noticeable! Last video I watched from you was the 997-shifter upgrade, that I follow step by step and was able to install on my 99- 996 cabrio. That is an awesome looking and now sounding car!! Did you sell the 996? Anyways, great content.

Thanks! Yes the 996 was sold on Bring A Trailer in May. I loved the car but had to make room for the new one. Lots of respect for the 996 generation!

Any drone issues? Any issues with neighbour noise lol😅

No drone at all. The muffler delete doesn't really add much additional noise, so no issue at all with neighbors. You'll hear it more at higher revs and may want it to be louder...
