Installing an Air Compressor Filter on a 6 Gallon Pancake

Awesome work.....best part of your video for me was the memory of your dad that kicked in with his tools ...though i am almost 50 but miss my dad on a daily basis and need him like i am a lost child... RIP all the dads that moved on.

Thanks. I'm nearing that 50 mark also and I feel the same way. He was a machinist and left quite a bit of machinist tools as well. I use the regular tools when I can. RIP to yours as well. Thanks for watching! :)

Exactly what I needed. Well done Fellow Houstonian! Goes Astros! I and going to be using a cup sprayer with oil base so this little filter will be perfect.

Appreciate this! I have a Porter Cable pancake that I have only used to inflate tires so far but now need to run a oil less stapler for some upholstery projects - need to add a filter! Perfect. We’ll have to see if HD still has the Husky (or I could hit Harbor Freight). Fellow Houstonian - will check out your channel!

No problem! Yea, I could have gone a little more sophisticated, but I was in a rush to get that on there and I think I'll wait until I get a 26/27 Gallon stand-up, to add multiple filters. I don't think HD has Husky in pancake style anymore but there are a few others to choose from at HD, Lowes and Harbor Freight. Good to see another Houstonian on here!

Awesome, glad it was helpful!... I use compressed air more and more. I need to get a 26 gallon stand-up soon. This pancake isn't cutting it anymore lol

NIce vid. Good info..Fellow Texan. I am thinking of using dried air instead of nitrogen for my atv shocks. On my way to" Harbor Fright" myself.

Good to hear from a fellow Texan! I thought using either Nitrogen or dried air was basically the same... they both lack moisture, so I don't think dried air would hurt any. People use both with similar functionality, right?

@@EverythingInBetween22 I believe as long as the air is dry it should not be a problem. I have the filter put together and it works.

What size are those couplers I got the Husky 3/8th inch air filter and bought the 3/8 inch couple package but the couplers are too small. I’m very ignorant on this subject and could use the help. 🤘🤘🤘

I'm using 1/4 inch components. Make sure you have the correct style. I'm using I/M style connectors. If you are using Automotive couplers, that could be your issue.
