quick question man like let’s say you want to do you own maintenance on you truck i have a 2019 ram 3500 tradesmen with the 6.7 let’s say i do like a throttle body replacement cheaper than what the dealer charges is it possible to use alpha obd2 and the bypass to make that service? or like it just all depends on what scanner you got and don’t need bypass and the alpha program ?

Not 100% sure, I believe the OBDII can look and clear codes but i'm not sure if it can permanently delete or prevent codes if you do a replacement.

Great video and pistol holder. Can you tell me where to get that? I have a 21 Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo, but haven't installed this unit yet. Will it customize tire pressure parameters? Thx for your time.

Not as of yet, some of the OBDII functions don't work on 2019-24s like off road pages is finicky. will update soon though as I find more that work!

Do you know if there's a setting inside the App to turn off active noise canceling & engine noise canceling? It's super annoying in my 22 ram 3500. Looking to buy the kit btw.

Do you need to have a bypass cable to use the AlfaODB? I have a 2023 Ram 3500 and want to upgrade to the Titan 52 gal fuel tank.

sorry to tag into this thread but i didn't see where i could make a comment/adk a question any other way. That said, I have a 2019 1500 RAM Bighorn/Lonestar. The dogital instrument cluster is dark (not uncommon). I need to know will the AlfaOBD return a code, letting me know the fault.The backlight comes on and off every 30 seconds (to the second) while I'm driving, but not where i can see and info. It's a pain bc other than that, I love the truck. Mainly, I need the mileage if I have to order a replacement dash cluster. Any help is appreciated. Ty

Question With this alfa obd2, can you have like your fog lights and cab lights mirror lights on at the same time without the drl white strips dimming ?

There is a function where you can have fogs, highs/lows on at same time. Clearance and mirror lights are on when the lights are on. DRL is very bright I think there’s a setting in the EVIC on the dash to keep DRLs on in bright state.

Installing that new cable does not work anymore Ram stopped wiring all the extra ports on the white box so you can't plug it in to anything that works.

Agreed, I have both 12+8 and Kaodtech cable. Both function the same way. I purchased the 12+8 prior to the Kaodtech for use with another scanner.@@joshuatumath1764

Mine came with a white plug and a black one and I think I put them on the wrong pin.. black on the large green block and the white one on the small green block, bow I can't remove the plugs out of the green CAN blocks... FML

There’s a tab behind the block to remove Pin outs. Very small flathead screwdriver to depress the pin.

They are two different sizes connectors so they can't be installed incorrectly

Yes and for some reason the small connectors are defective and once connected can't be removed. I had to cut the wires on mine to take out the cable since I couldn't use it. Also I contacted the cable manufacturer with problem and they won't even reply to my email. Starting to wonder if they have any actual warranty at all.

I tried a screwdriver, then needle nose pliers then last resort wire cutters
