The heat element I purchased looks to have a 2 pin with a female connector and the ducted wall control box also has a female connector. In other words, the connector fits together, but the wires don’t actually connect. How do you deal with this?

What about a wall thermostat controller

Does the temp knob actually work as a thermostat or is the heat just always on? So could you just test till you found a sweet spot of say 72º or so

I have a Coleman AC model 8333B876 with a heating strip. Will the older model ceiling assemble and heating strip work with 48203-066 replacement?

If the heat coil comes loose and touches the ac coil will it short out and ruin the capacitors?

I have the Coleman AC on my 2015 Winnebago Brave. It has the control box in the unit, and states it is heat strip ready. My question is, if I install the heat strip, how does my Coleman Thermostat know to use the heat strip and not the propane furnace for heat? Do I need to run a wire to the wall thermostat? Or replace the wall thermostat? My system is a ducted system.

This is what I'm actually wanting to know as well. Did you ever find out?

@@alarmingtwitch7822 Unfortunately, I did not. I am thinking I will need to replace the thermostat (which I want to do anyway) but still not sure how the system would know which heat source to run. I hope I don't have to run a remote wire or anything like that. It seems to me that plug and play would be just that.

Hello @Brave_new_world ______w and @Alarming Twitch Thank you for your patience and sorry it took us a moment to get back to you, but I believe we’ve got an answer for your question. The control box being heat strip ready doesn’t necessarily mean that the rest of the equipment is. Your thermostat (if operating a furnace also) must have 2 heat functions (regularly referred to as electric heat and gas heat). If this is a non-zone thermostat, there will need to be a wire for this function running from the thermostat to the “W” terminal of the control box. The Electric heat signal from the thermostat will simply tell the control box to operate its heat function. The Gas heat signal is sent straight to the furnace instead of the control box. The control box will be wired specifically for the type of electric heat (Heat Strip or Heat Pump) and will operate accordingly. In a heat pump situation that is also heat ready, the Heat Pump function will be the default, and the heat strip is pulled in as a substitute if the outdoor conditions are too low for the heat pump to operate effectively and shuts down the compressor on the outdoor freeze circuit. This is a function that exists in the wiring between the heat pump and the control box. I hope this answers your questions. If not please feel free to reach back out to us or our technical support team at coleman-mach.com/contact/

I installed this in conjunction with the Bluetooth controller. However it does not get hot and the output where the element plugs in shows about 48 vac. What is the Problem??

The Coleman Machs are terrible units. Broken fan blades and crack copper pipe is very common. Absolutely hate mine.
