Hi Mark - thanks for the very helpful videos. I actually just bought this lock, but wasn't able to correctly install it on my door. We have a multi point door handle, but the lock is engaged separately from the handle. So when you lift the handle up, it only engages 2 little hinges in the door but not engage the actual cylinder lock. The lock engages only if I rotate the knob from inside or the key from the outside. I presume I made a mistake and this lock won't work for my door? Perhaps I need the Simpled Leverline? Can you please advise. Your guidance is much appreciated!

Hi Mark, Thank you for this very helpful and detailed video explaining how to install this smart lock to a multipoint lock door. I would have returned the unit, had I not known you could get an extension cable. I have just emailed them, hopefully they will respond quickly.

How many smart dock systems have you installed and which do you still have working on a day to day basis?

I have tried and tested: 1. Simpled Smart Lock 2. Switchbot Lock Pro 3. Nuki 3, Nuki 4 and Nuki 4 Pro 4. LOQED Touch 5. Aqara U200 Out of those, I use the U200 and Switchbot Lock Pro daily (front and back door) but did have a Nuki 3/4 Pro on my front door for a combined 1.5 years. Some of the above have been sent to me to review others I have purchased...the backdoor is usually the one I use to test new ones out on as it doesn't matter quite so much if it goes wrong! (Thankfully nothing has yet!)

Hi mark wonder if u can help assist me my lock only locks from inside the door but I can’t lock it from outside

Do you mean you can currently just pull the handle down from the outside and get in?

Yes I can only just pull the handle down from the outside it doesn’t lock it only locks from inside if I pull the handle up

Ah, so pulling up from outside doesn’t engage the multi points? You might need to get in touch with Simpled’s support

Hi Mark. Thank you for your useful demonstration. My door has lock on the right hand side and hinges on the left. Are those handled reversible?. Can I install this lock on the right edge of the door? Many thanks.

Hi There I would like to order the smart lock, but i am wonder will it fit for the foront door, i have a mulit-point lock in the front door, which is a wood door

I think it will fit but you may have to drill some more holes. If you contact Simple’s support they will be able to help more and tend to reply pretty quickly

Personally, I think the ultion Nuki, Nuki or switchbot lock pro are better because they’re more secure and Apple HomeKit/matter compatible

Hi Mark, what I want to know but you didn't explain is, how does this lock from inside? Does it lock automatically or do you need the app? If it locks automatically is there a way to leave it open?

From the outside the lock is basically always locked because the handle is detached. If you want to leave it open from both sides there is a mode for that. From the inside you can always just pull the handle down to leave, no need to unlock just open the door

Mark is exactly right here, however we do also sell a double sided slim series, which can be locked from both sides!
