I had xHP in my 6 speed automatic BMW E61 5 series. It absolutely transformed that car! A brilliant mod!!!
Let's see how it goes in the 8 speed F31.
It's a diesel, so very torquey and you'll see how it responds to a transmission tune.

Love it 💪🏻 I just want faster shifting speeds in my f30 but keep it stock power wise. Would u recommend xhp too?

hi, which one stage of xHP did you have in E61? which motor did you have? any stage? thx.

Hi, I had xHP on stage 3 from memory. It was the N52b25 engine, not tuned but had an aFe Magnum Force Cold Air Intake, mostly for induction noise. There's a few videos on this car on my channel.

Planning to do this on a B47 engine like yours. Wanted to ask you, how are the shift changes in comfort mode, not sport?

Really smooth... but I have made incremental changes to find the sweet spot. Takes some time, but at least once you've done the initial flash with a power supply, you can literally make changes on the side of the road, only minutes to do.

@minulachis I'll take a screenshot and post it next time I do a flash... but honestly, every car needs different adjustments. Also your personal preference as to how you want it to behave...

Can be done with Vgate adapter or have to be Thor?

I'm not too sure, but there will be info on the xHP website. Thor has been great for this and for Bimmergeeks Protool also.

So you need the map and the licence? Sounds expensive.

It's not bad really, considering you have control over tuning it yourself and can get it to shift exactly how you want it. If you pay someone to do it, that's probably what you'll be stuck with. You can transfer the license and map to your next BMW, providing It's the same transmission. Otherwise you can transfer the license (there's a limit I think) and buy a new map if you uninstall from your previous vehicle. Definitely a mod worth the money.
