Is the exterior moulding that sits just under the windshield of your D2 cracking and distorting?
Watch Doug, our Land Rover Master Technician, as he demonstrates the removal and replacement of the Center Air Intake Moulding (part # JAK000010PMAG) on our Discovery Series II.
This part is also referred to as the Windshield Cowl or Windshield Finisher.

Wonderfully demonstrated video. My cowling has been cracked for quite awhile and this video will be very helpful in replacing it. Hoping to order the part soon.

Great video! Very well done and great for laymen. I agree with another comment as it took the intimidation out for me as well. My issue is that I cannot locate the correct part for my 2000 Range Rover P38. It is the center air intake molding or cowling/finisher however, I cannot locate the correct part. I have had the vehicle since new with only 100k miles but every time go through the wash or in heavy rain the front floors get wet. Any advice would be awesome. Either way, THANK YOU!

This can be done without moving the hood, especially if the old cowl is brittle and broken up (old ones often get this way), which allows for easy removal. The installation of the new one will take some gentle finagling with the hood in the way, but it's not all that hard to get in there.

I have an '03 and there is a 10mm bolt in the center just behind the filter that needs to be removed and replaced. I love my LR but they used the crappiest brittle plastic for most of the interior and exterior trim. This part almost always cracks over time and your fresh air plenum is facing up on the passenger (USA) side. If you get a lot of rain like we do near the Gulf of Mexico in Houston you will get water in your car from any cracks in this piece of plastic.

Thank you for the video, complete cowling with everything new package how much cost, and roof drain guter trim all around with pillar A trim cover. What parts I need to downgrade the facelift from 2004 to 2001, if possible. Best regards.
