Installing a Delta Shower Cartridge, Diverter, and Trim Kit onto a Delta MultiChoice Shower Valve (R22000) with a diverter.

Parts list from video:
You will need a multichoice valve body: the one I used in this video is amzn.to/4cNlxFd. That valve is if for the use of a diverter (either a 3 setting or 5 setting diverter). If you don't need a diverter then you just need the regular multichoice valve body: amzn.to/4cKmiPD.
Then you need to select whatever trim kit you want to go with. The trim kit will include the appropriate valve that will fit the valve body. Just double check when you purchase (some sellers sell a kit without the valve). The kit used in this video is the ARA17 : amzn.to/4cYVr24

Can we get a complete parts list? I can't seem to find a complete kit that includes everything you need.

My constructor installed same delta valve in bathrooms but after installation our kitchen cold and hot water mixed; not sure what could be wrong

Hey Man thanks for the video. The only part I am confused with, at what point do we open those stop valves?( On the rough in valve.) I am referring to two screw in stop valves. When do we open them and how far do we open them?

The one I installed did not have those but you can open them up any time after you’ve installed the cartridge / diverter and sleeve bonnets.

What does the little top handle do? Is that the diverter? So does the diverter knob turn on the wall and ceiling shower head? Can the ceiling shower head run alone the be switch off and have the wall shower head run / can both run at the same time with good pressure?

The top handle in this specific setup is the diverter and yes, it's function is to divert the water to the different shower features (shower head, jets, rain shower). If you are only wanting to run two features then you need a three way diverter (1. shower head, 2. rainshower, 3. both on at once). If you have more features than that you will need the 5 way diverter. Both will work with the multi choice valve body.

Are you installing the T24967? That’s what I have. It’s chrome. The hot and cold is 1 piece. That concerns me. Looks like a little robot with no arms and stubby legs 😂 Minus the valve cartridge the instructions in your video are the same. I’m glad you posted it 🎉 Thanks

Glad it was useful! I recently installed a hot and cold 1 piece in our other guest bath and I have mixed opinions on it. Will have to see how it goes.

Installed the same delta valve but Iam only getting water from my rain shower and and nothing from my wall mount. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, plumbing isn’t my area of expertise. Did you plumb it in yourself? I know they have a specific setup that requires the right output to be capped if you’re only using 2 features (rain head and main shower head).

I forgot to apply the silicone even though there are no leaks. Should I opened up and apply the silicone?

The silicon is more for helping the valve sit appropriately in the valve body. If it's working without issues you should be good.

My hot water pipe is connected to the right and the cold is connected to the left can this be fixed without opening up the shower wall?

Hi Sean. It wouldn’t be something I would tackle as a DIY project, but most licensed plumbers can replace/ repair valves with minimal damage. I’d use an app like thumbtack, and send some photos to some plumbers and they should be able to give you idea of what they could do. Good luck 👍
