We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while we building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.

Wow, I can't get over what a great little helper Ellie is. She's right in there with everything. Helping with the chickens, cows, lambs and now with all the Chapter House setup. Don't see much of the boys any longer. That split screen thing you did at the Chapter house with Josh outside doing the car charger and and Erin and Ellie in the house setting up was great. Is she available to hire out as a project manager or even as a Princess? So, so adorable. I am always held in awe watching this family. To make available amenities for their AB&B renters that they don't have for themselves, but appreciate having on a vacation shows the level of comfort that they want to provide for their guests. Makes them feel special and wanting a repeatable experience.

I want to see disagreeable grey :) You guys are so darn busy. I told my son (a little younger than you guys) that this is the busiest time of his life, up to around 50 years old, when he keeps apologizing for not visiting very much, even though we only live about 10 miles apart. I remember being that age and how busy I was raising a kid and making a living.

even though I hate painting, I have worked as a painter for years. The painting you are going to do on the Cafe ceiling should be sprayed with 2 coats. The sprayer you used on the fencing at your house is perfect. 2 coats will make the ceiling look great for much longer. Repainting the cafe after it's open will be much more difficult. BTW, Love the color choices.

This is the stage where an itinerary list is vital. Most of the heavy lifting has already been done but the final details make it all go together. Attention to detail is vital now. So far so good.

That coffee comes from the jungles of Panama! That is a truly best coffee ever and is coming from indigenous peoples. A very exclusive ones. La Comarca it is a special place in Boquete Panama.

I fully agree with your choice of the stain and for many of the same reasons. Only you will notice any color variations. The majority of people will not notice any difference because they will be so impressed with the entire experience. The electrical work is very impressive (as would be expected) and a major upgrade from the knob-and- tube that perhaps was original to this historic building.🙂 Great progress on all fronts. Thanks for taking us along.

You two have a great little helper. She sure does do so much. Both places are coming along beautifully. The Chapter House is pretty much done and the Cafe is really taking shape. I agree I liked the first color on the ceiling better than the second one. The wall color looks more like a calming, and relaxing color. Good job!

Nomadic Movement coffee is THE best, smoothest coffee ever. I'm so picky and that coffee has it all. Their KZfaq channel is great to watch as well - such a great journey those two have gone on to get to where they are making incredible coffee. Josh, love the way you handled the electric, completely separate from the old wiring most likely copper. My parents old lawnmower shop had both, our electrician was electrocuted knocked off the ladder swearing never to come back. He was a good family friend and absolutely right, it was far too dangerous. Old concrete and rebar construction, we lived there with generators after hurricane Andrew for awhile.
