I fastened mine directly to the milk crate. That bracket was too expensive

The sheet metal work looks good. The U bolts are totally goofy. I’d replace them with 4 small bolts. Also, the contact points of the U bolts on the plastic will deform the plastic over time & use, continually requiring retightening and eventual failure of the plastic. Also, I would prefer a slightly smaller tank so the storage box could be retained. One additional gallon (100 + miles) is more than enough for this small bike. After 250 miles on that seat, i would welcome a gas stop / rest.

I like the size it is more for when you are out where there are no gas stations. Just might need it to get home or to a gas station. There are not any gas stations in the bush.

Good job, for sure I would add some blue locktite to those bolts with the weight of the fuel in that tank it is gonna shake them loose. Looks like a great idea!

I believe that flat piece of metal you put the top two bolts through, is upside-down. Needs to sit flat. Looks like it doesn't. Personally I'd change out the ubolts too. Those will deform the plastic and give some flex you don't want. Great video

Since that is intended to be a permanent installation, I would use nylock nuts and Loctite everywhere, not just the four nylocks in the kit. Very nice kit though.

Good job buddy. I’d get all new shorter bolts for the brackets accept the ones going into bike. Does suck the tool box has to be removed. But still cool.

i really like this kit but... ive seen others that allow for you to retain the toolbox (which i consider more of a mini glove campartment) i also am kinda curious to see someone actually fill it with fuel and use it. (so i know exactly what i am getting and looking at b4 purchase.. ) at this point i am merely dreaming because i wont be accessorizing until its paid off 100%. its only a couple months hopefully :) i should be ready before the start of next summer :) thanks for the video bro !

The U bolts wouldn’t cut it for me, why are all the other bolts too long? This would bother me. Seems like this system could have been designed to retain the toolbox. Thanks for showing, but I see too many flaws and can’t believe this costs a hundred and fifty bucks!

I would be cutting them boles down or getting shorter ones, and would use lock nuts, may be even acorn nuts. Those long bolts sticking out do not look to friendly. Great video but wrong hard ware if you want a nice neat job.

Seen others where you can keep the "tool storage" box you removed. I'd rather have it for documents, and maybe a tracker inside.

It seems you didn't put the tool box on before the bracket, And on another of your vids it was on ,but it looked hard to get to the tool box.Just sayin.Maybe i'm wrong.

Saw an other one that looked like it could be used as a luggage rack also. Like many said, the U-bolts are terrible. I'm still wondering if I'm going to add something like this or just carry fuel bottles. Luggage is more important since I'm not going anywhere where there's no fuel stations. Just need an emergency solution

The gasoline tank should have a guard to protect is from damage in the case you drop the bike. A spill of gas on hot parts will ignite a fire.
