Awesome work! I am "finally" installing this model on my north (2,400w) array. I am installing four DIN rail Langir 250vDC (non polarized) breakers for four strings of six 100w panels. On my newly rebuilt 2,900w pergola array, I used a MNPV3 for two strings. For the earth ground, I used 4 AWG heavy stranded THHN to a 8' deep grounding rod. It "looks" correct to me and safe...but, I am not up to speed on NEC compliance. The panels "grounds" are strapped together like they say to do.

as a newbie I have watched a number of videos over the last 2 weeks. This is a sum of what I learned in respect to the combiner box. There is a positive bus bar on the top and there are always two lugs one on the left and the other on the right. Since the bus bar is one plate and not split into two most people use one lug for the strings and the other lug for the 300 SPD. You only installed the lug on the right but didn't install the lug on the left so all the positive wires from the 4 strings go through that lug. If you had installed the left lug then the strings would have been had the red wire leading to the conduit on the left side and the positive wire from the 300 SPD could have been placed on the right lug making the appearance much better and probably more safer ( I guess). That is what I meant.

There is something really pretty about a newly wired panel. I hope to replace the panels in the barn someday, they are a mess right now!

I’m doing a diy solar project and I’m stumped as to whether I should place my inverter next to my combiner box at the ground mount or in the garage.

If I recall, your combiner boxes for the rooftop solar had a gang cutoff switches outside the garage. Will this array have the same, or are you running straight to the charge controller?
