The unit is mounted upside down from the KTM installation instructions. People seem to have it both ways, so I guess as long as the wires connect it doesn't matter?

I did notice that but it seemed to fit better like this so I left it. Shouldn't matter I wouldn't think

@@mxgryan After doing my "research" (LOL) I noticed that almost everyone has it mounted like you do and all the KTM videos on THEIR channel show it mounted like this, I'm not sure why the PDF they have has it being mounted with the lights towards the bottom and all the wires coming from the bottom. I guess as long as they reach and connect, it doesn't matter. Question. If I don't have the GPS, I am only plugging the one plug in correct? The large one with it's own wire would be for the GPS and I guess the other one doesn't plug into anything?

Mxg I'm confused. Does the 2023 fc450 need a map update too? Or just the fe models

Well depends if it’s a very late my23 might work out of the box but there are cases where you will need a ECU update as of a production issue with the ecu.

What do you mean the newest map? Like ECU? I thought it'll work on a 2023 out the box too.

Some 2022 FEs and 2023s will require a map update.

@@mxgryan I mean the Motocross model? Looking at a 2023 fc450 should I update it on that model or isn't it needed. Your getting me confused. So it's only the Enduro models? That needs it
