Do you think 5200 is strong enough??? I'd through-bolt the plywood too if I were you...

5200 ???? To bond wood to glass above the waterline?? That's crazy. It's called epoxy. You would never be able to remove it the way you all were able to remove the rotted wood like you did. Any particular reason 5200 was used?

PL premium is a cheap alternative to 5200

5200 is a polyurethane, not a polysulphide.
