The refit of our Family Sailing Catamaran is starting to turn the corner! The interior refit is finally coming together and she is looking great! In this video we are working on the foam back Vinyl headliner with LED lights installed as well as custom cabinetry!
There's still a lot to do but we are on target!
Thanks for watching!

That reflective insulation sound barrier you used looks to be the same as mine. I used this material on my companionway engine cover and was amazed at how well it worked for its sound and heat transfer qualities.

The stuff we’re using is Reflectix. I think there is a different version for engine sound dampening. If you used the same stuff (reflectix), let me know. I need to add sound barrier to my engine rooms also. 😉

Nice result. I'm doing a similair headliner project. How well did the velco hold up?

The Velcro held up poorly. 😂 we ended up screwing it up.

Super great job on the headliner panel. I did a similar job for my vehicle, I found that the glue eventually let go on the velcro. I ended up putting some very small screws with washers in and the velcro on everything stayed on then.

Sounds smart... We’re a little nervous about the lifespan of the adhesive.

What was the material you used and attached the Vinyl to? I'm hunting around for light weight options for our catamarans removable panels. Great videos btw!

I think that was a Masonite. I found it at Home Depot.

Might have been easier to have put Batons and then hang the cabinet to that.

@@SaltyEscape if you epoxy them (the batons ) in it will be very strong and give you something better to screw into. We just made all the cabinets for our house , so we can sell it. The table saw you have is brilliant for doing this work.
