I like your way of explaining. However there are times, and this is one of them, where you correlate different findings with one another and generalize. In the case of one side depressed shoulder (blade) the same side rips do not have to be depressed/turned. I've seen the opposite in some cases. The puzzle of posture and compensations does not always fit the same way for everybody. As a physical therapist and personal trainer I'm seeing so many variants that I in many cases can't justify to make rules, if you would, about correlations. Doesn't mean that you can't correct for certain imbalances, but the strategy might have to be adjusted according to the individual person.

Well said. Every individual needs an individual approach. However, Conor can’t really devise an individual exercise protocol in a KZfaq video. He can provide information and viewers can figure out if it’s applicable to them or not. This is where, if you are struggling with pain/dysfunction, there is a certain responsibility for you to figure it out yourself. I’ve been to many physical therapists and they have all used cookie cutter approaches that did nothing for me. In fact, the exercises some of them gave me actually made me worse. At the end of the day, nobody can understand how it feels to function in your own body except yourself.

A lot of your work is about left/right symmetry from a front-facing perspective, but I’ve noticed a lot of my problems come from asymmetry from a side-facing perspective; it seems like I carry my ribcage too far forward in 3D space, rather than a left/right asymmetry. Would be cool to see you explore symmetry from other angles as well!

I’m confused as to which side the exercises apply to for which shoulder sits higher, especially since the second exercise hits the opposite side. Are both examples of the corrective exercises in this video shown as how to correct a higher left shoulder? Or is the bottom side in the exercises always the side of the higher shoulder?

Hi Conor, what do you think of weighted vests? I know you're big on diaphragmatic breathing which I do everyday but was wondering if wearing a weighted vest up to 3% bodyweight would be harmful in any way? Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Love your content.

Considering the similarities between many exercises, isn't it kind of easy for you to create a "mobility dance" or "animal flow" or "yoga routine" that addresses, at least, a majority of all the "fixes" that you spend so much time explaining the mechanics of? Could there be another reason for uneven shoulders? I was doing a body weight program which included pull ups. I started developing pain in my right shoulder (Dr. said it was Impingement Syndrome) and Golfers elbow. Then one day I noticed my right shoulder was significantly lower than my left. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated as my Orthopedist and physical therapist has not been helpful. Thanks.

Too general; this presumes that the reason the L side is higher than the R is due to a spinal asymmetry. Many people have a lower shoulder due to strength deficits of the R scapula keeping it in a depressed position, as well as possible stiffness of scapular depressors (ie: lats)

not promoting it, but weed gets me into these positions naturally. ..... with extreme focus and patience. after 30 yrs of undiagnosed head specific seizures, weed has been the only plus. doctors and therapist were only good at prescriptions and general help for the masses.
