Hello everyone. Thanks a million to the video uploader and other commenters. I have an Acer Aspire V3-574G with a Core i3, and InsydeH20 Rev 5.0. Pressing Fn+Tab 3 times (hold Fn and press Tab 3 times) then pressing F10 to save and exit, and reloading the UEFI Setup Utility (by pressing F2 before boot) provided the advanced options for me.

@Nightbot hold the Fn key, then tap the Tab key 3 times. Save and exit after that, then press and hold F2 to go into the UEFI setup utility before it boots into Windows (quickly press and hold F2 when your laptop manufacturer's logo shows up).

@@tecgeminis9926 this is absurd. Did you hold the Fn key, then tap Tab three times (while keeping the Fn key held down), press F10 to save your UEFI settings and return to the UEFI interface to check?

@@MilometerSpear it should be worked i have the same revision as your and it worked for me you must be press fn+tab for 3 times at the same times, later you have to save settings and exit, your pc will shutdown for a middle second and turns it on but before the brand name screen you have to press your BIOS key repetetly

You save my Aspire 13 R7 371T. I buy it as a refurbished product. The problem was that Intel Virtualization was turned off. The option do not exists in bios. I found the option in Advanced. Thank you.

If you find the Advanced settings tab missing in the BIOS, that is because your manufacturer has locked the settings on your computer

There is still a way to unlock it, but it involves editing the bios image - so really not for casual users - but there are forums where communities unlock bios images for each other. This of course comes with warnings all over the place about potentially bricking your laptop ;)

It didn't work. The issue is that the fan doesn't seem to change up speed and it's heating. I can't see the fan speed using SpeedFan or HWMonitor. What should I do? (my notebook is a Acer Aspira E1-571)

BIOS InsydeH20 Rev 5.0 comando para acesso ao avançado: desligue o notebook. Mantenha pressionado FN e TAB logo após pressione o Power(botão de ligar e desligar), não mantenha o power pressionado, matenha FN e TAB pressionado, depois que aparecer a marca do notebook, pode pressionar F2 repetidamente até abrir a BIOS.

Cara pra mim esse negócio de fn+TAB 3vezes não funcionou não,acho que vc deve estar usando alguma bios modificada, eu testei isso em 3 , eu disse 3 notebooks Acer diferentes e em nenhum deles funcionou. Todos com modelos diferentes e versões de BIOS h20 INSYDE DIFERENTE.

Didn't work on my Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop. After doing hours of research (i need CPU virtualization feature for running Windows Hyper-V), finally I got it to work with pressing Fn+Tab, holding these buttons and then pressing the power button.

@@muhammadfakhrullah8461 press and hold Fn Button and Tab (as shown in the Video) while the PC is shut down. Then, while still holding the two buttons, start the PC by pressing the Power button. I don't know on which other devices this will work, as it's probably a change to BIOS made by the manufacturer.

Hello, I have Lenovo Legion Y530 which is using the same Insyde H2O BIOS as this one in the video. I'm using this trick to reveal the hidden BIOS settings: First, enter the BIOS as you normally do, then press Fn+TAB, then Fn+ASDFGH, then Fn+O and after that, press F10(Save and exit). Your machine will restart, then just follow the on-screen instructions to boot into the unlocked BIOS. Good luck !

losguanacos No. My Vaio e series also not showing advanced menu in BIOS. My Vaio came with win 7 home premium. I had this problem of BIOS not showing full options in Advanced menu even when I had not removed the original windows. Then I tried assist button to do factory reset. But my vaio recovery partition was corrupted. So, when I pressed assist button, it just shows grey screen. I had not formatted the 11 GB recovery partition. I can still see it Disk Manager. But it was corrupted, so assist button just shows grey screen. If you have Vaio recovery partition, do factory reset by pressing Assist button on laptop. After that, advanced menu in BIOS will show full options. I tried it on my friend's Vaio. We have the same model. Now I have installed Windows 8 on Vaio. But Advanced menu problem is still there. I don't want to risk bricking my laptop by flashing new BIOS.

finally i have found the solution thanks to hp service support (turkey). update uefi from the link below : www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/pc-diags.html and than try boot sequence from F10. choose upgraded ssd via F5 / F6 than press F10. problem must be sold with this cure. as for the bios; i told, there woould be a new bios update within short term.

@@elvarfn2086 yes i‘ll explain: i went to the bios with f2 without the advanced setting. Pressed the tab and fn 3x and saved and exit. While the pc was restarting after pressing exit i hit f2 again and boom i was in advanced mode. It really works aslong you have an acer i guess.

Depending on your BIOS you should find this option in the advanced settings (which I hope you're able to enter) and there should show something similar to "chipset config" up, I hope this works for you since it doesn't work for me and my integrated graphics card eats half of my ram, you shouldn't add too much ram to it.

I'm trying this trick with the bios of my Huawei Matestation B515 and it doesn't work. The bios is very limited but it has a B550 chipset which should have many options, some very useful for me. Does anyone have more key combination options that might work? Thx

Quem tem a Insydeh20 5.0 faça o seguinte caminho: 1- Com o notebook desligado aperte Fn + Tab e depois aperte o botão power. 3- Assim que ligar, solte as teclas Fn + Tab e aperte continuamente F2.

Yo les tengo una solucion efectiva cuando no pueden iniciar una nueva instalacion de S.O. a traves de memoria USB booteable. En equipos Acer que tengan el famoso bloqueo de BIOS. Lo unico que necesitan es una unidad de CD/DVD y escencial un DVD de Windows 8.1 la BIOS de Acer esta programada para que no inicie desde la memoria USB pero si inicia automaticamente por unidad de CD/DVD. Al momento de conectar la unidad de CD/DVD este inicia directamente. Si desean actualizar a W10 deben usar una memoria USB con la .iso y actualizan. Listo!
