SGT University Embraces Wellness on #InternationalYogaDay. On June 21, 2024, SGT University's grounds transformed into a haven of harmony as we celebrated International Yoga Day. The Faculty of Indian Medical System and the Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences joined forces to create a memorable event. Students, faculty members, and department heads came together, uniting body and mind through ancient practices. The air buzzed with positive energy as participants engaged in various yoga asanas and meditation techniques.
The Faculty of Indian Medical System at SGT University was established in 2015 with an intake capacity of 100 seats, filled through counselling by Shri Krishna Ayush University. The college is facilitated by a teaching hospital, and explicit services are offered through Panchakarma and Ksharasutra centres, a wellness centre, a herbal garden, and well-equipped subject-specific laboratories.
The professional Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science (BNYS) program, started in 2019 at SGT University through the Faculty of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (FNYS), provides rigorous, systematic training, covering a well-planned course curriculum that comprises comprehensive clinical training supported by advanced teaching, leading to groundbreaking workouts in applied aspects of complementary alternative medicine. The BNYS program trains budding naturopaths for the future of medicine with a serious commitment to contribute towards the globally accepted concepts of integrative holistic healthcare and delivery. FNYS has collaborated with organizations and corporations for various industry support and research collaborations. On successful completion of the BNYS course, a student gets to study for further clinical specializations, conduct research in various fields of clinical applications, work for a government or private organization, become an acupuncturist in the cruise line industry, or even migrate to various countries like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and EU nations as well.
