Jeff Porcaro is the best drummer ever- and true JP/TOTO fans do not care what you say about him or what you think about him-20 years later and I still tear up thinking about that terrible day that I heard the news of his passing- what a tremendously talented musician with a great mind and awesome personality,he will always be the best

Yes, terrible day when I read, that Jeff had passed away. Still cannot believe it, although I was at the Jeff-Porcaro-Memorial-Festival in Koblenz 2002. Lots of great drummers there, Steve Gadd, Bernard Purdie, John Robinson, Lenny Castro, Luis Conte and others, but the one and only was dearly missed. RIP Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro.

Amazing interview, love the chemistry, the music, the candor. Sad that music of today (and probably tomorrow) will never measure up. Young people have missed so much.

Jeff was the heart of Toto Lukather the soul.......still.such amazing music❤ I remember the debut album---- hit me like a ton of bricks! 45 yrs later nothing but love for these guys. Jeff is here in spirit.... his presence is deeply felt every day. Long live Toto!

Thank you for posting this. These guys were awesome, wish there were more people, musicians, bands like this. I don't hold out much hope for the young people out there today. Many of them feeling 'entitled' to things, that their parents worked hard for. Who knows though, maybe Toto's younger generation will turn out like their talented fathers. Prayers to you Mikey and RIP Jeff.

Never heard of jeff pocaro,im alittle imbarassed because i love toto. He was a fantastic Drummer and a great person. Anyone who has 1,200 come to his funeral is pretty special. RIP JEFF!!

too ''convencional''.... these guys could play aside any ''unconvencional'' and ''progressive'' band and would still eat them for breakfast, even today - the best drummers today who are capable of superfast soloing still struggles to play Rossana Shuffle...these are world class musicians, there is no ''convencional'' to them... RIP Jeff - one of the greatest and most recorded drummers of all time

Freddie Mercury was a homosexual and was one of the greatest musicians in history, including Toto's boys, although they don't have that recognition. Not everyone has to like Toto, but at least be respectful of the work of this guys, who aren't painted on the wall, who are among the most prolific session musicians in history, and who today, more than 40 years after their first album, people still pay to see them. Go take your frustration as a person and as a musician elsewhere.
