My favorite moment in episode 2 was the revelation that both Louis and Armand had, in different centuries, f*cked Lestat. In the background the Young & the Restless theme started to play softly while Daniel compared the situation to a soap opera, and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing!

I've been a Ben Daniels fan for years, so seeing him serving so hard as Santiago has definitely got me! 💀💀

the letter from Lestat. that was so emotional to me. and don't get me wrong, i know the guy's no angel, but i think Louis really talks a lot of shit about him. it was nice to see his actual words, his actual emotions, beyond Louis's warped memory. ps: i know Daniel turns in the books, and i am really wondering what that would look like on the show. how will it affect him? his diagnosis? will he ask for it, or will he be resistant and snotty about it?

Until now, I feel very good this season, the new actress of Claudia it is more good than the oldest (but the oldest actress is also a good actress, but that new actress it is better). I would like to see the next season, it be focus only in Lestat. It is sad the last season with Claudia (I do not watch the last episode of the second season).

This episode basically made me an Alice is Armand truther because how would Armand know what Alice was thinking when she rejected Daniel unless he was there to hear her thoughts. Daniel also correcting Louis about details when he psychically attacked him seemed weird to me. The fact that we've never seen a picture of this lady and Daniel keeps remembering flashes of Armand in the past makes me feel like the show is definitely setting up a special retelling of Devil's Minion.

I feel Armand definately mind wiped Louis ....after events in the theater to come .......was he wiping information that he knew Lestat hadn't met the true death or that Louis didn't guard his mind against another vampire that Claudia killed (like maybe Bruce/the vamp who SAed her ) was he protecting Louis from knowing the betrayal actually came from Louis himself ....is he still got Louis under glamour in todays Dubai ? ..and maybe brought Daniel here for an intervention ?for Louis to get the full Paris story reveal ...there has to be a reason for the character Bruce to be added IMO ...we shall see

Throughout the entire VC series, it's always expressed by the vampires 🧛‍♀️ that they don't have sex cuz they have no libido. But it isn't until "Prince Lestat" that the reason for their absence of libido is rooted in a biological cause. Anne explains through the Dr. in that book who is employed by an ancient, rich vampire who later in the book is turned into a vampire 🧛🏽‍♂️ himself, that the minute a human is turned into a vampire, all of their biological processes are "frozen" in time from that point on. That's why they don't age past the point they are made, but if they are made when they're already physically appearing decrepit, like Lestat's maker, Magnus 👴🏼, they can't get any younger because their bodies cease to produce anymore hormones, blood (that's why they have to take it from humans) etc. So for male vampires ---- providing they still were producing adequate amounts of testosterone when they were made --- can't get erections, muchless even have the desire for sex, is because there body stopped producing testosterone, which is what causes a guy to get horn in the 1st place. So they DEFINITELY can't produce semem to inseminate a woman with even IF they could get "it 🍆" up. And the same goes for female vampires. They have no desire cuz they stop producing estrogen & eggs once they're turned. Hence, the only kind of desire they CAN have is for mental/ spiritual connections. But back to "Prince Lestat 📖 . . . " The doctor I mentioned above gave Lestat some kind of IV or serum that caused Lestat to either produce sex hormones again temporarily, OR the IV itself containee the hormones & had to constantly be feeding through Lestat's circulatory system to keep him hard 🍆. Anyway, while on this IV, Lestat had sex with this other human Dr. & without telling Lestat, they took his ejaculated, studied it & kept several viable samples & used 1to impregnate the Dr. 👩🏼‍⚕️ Lestat LITERALLY "F#cked Around 🛏 💦& Found Out With" & she gave birth to a son that was THE SPITTING IMAGE 👱🏻👱🏻 OF LESTAT. Except his son was taller than him by 2 or so inches & Lestat didn't know about or meet him til his son was in his early 20s or so. But soon the IV of hormones wore off after Lestat had sex with his son's mother, he once again lost his libido. The whole thing with vampires not having sex reminds me of what Gambit told Rogue in X-men '97 when Rogue thought that choosing Magneto over Gambit was more logical for her situation cuz he's the only person she can physically touch with draining their life force with her powers. Gambit it told her: "Some things be deeper than skin 🙏🏻, Chere'."

Okay so do you think next week when Armand tells Daniel he met Lestat in the 1550s, is Armand lying because Lestat never told him his own origin and so he’s making something up that he thinks sounds correct? Or do you think they changed Lestat background?

My prediction (even though I'm going to be wrong) Lestat tells Louis "I can forgive what you & Claudia did to me, but I can't forgive you NOT protecting our daughter. Louis needs to earn that relationship back.

Thus far, one of the weakest episodes of the series so far. That said, the movie struggled with this part of the story as well (when Louis and Claudia arrive in Paris). However, at least the movie did better when showing the budding romance between Armand and Louis. In this show, the romantic connection just isn't there. Not like when Louis encountered Lestat. Maybe, they should have cast another actor to portray Armand. The only thing funny in this episode was Daniel's banter with Armand. But even Daniel's character portrayal seems to try too hard at times at getting a laugh.
