Thank you for introducing me to Collard greens, I always passed them by at the market because I didn’t know what to do with them. I followed your instruction and I’m hooked on COLLARD GREENS. Thank you so much for taking the time in the making of this video. I felt as if I was standing next to you and you were giving me a private cooking lesson. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I've never had good Kale or Collard greens in the Summer. No matter how long they cook, they never get tender. My Mom says that the frost has to hit them first in order for them to be tender and good. Greens to me are a Fall or Winter treat.

Every time I watch your channel I get sooo hungry. especially when you get to the end and tell us why something your cooking is so creamy or how delicious it is and put a fork full up to the camera for us to taste. Then eat the whole bowl or plate! Lord have mercy! Bless you, Mrs. Gina, for your knowledge and for sharing your gift of cooking with us!

Some is low medium high heat some has 1,2,3,4 as level of heat!! Keep all the details ! I love your channel as I am a new subscribers!! Keep up all your hard work! You do so well! Hi 👋 Ms Gina, You remind me of my grandmother’s cooking 🧑‍🍳 the collard greens 🥬 just the way you are doing it. The cleaning 🧼 she would put just little dish washing, and wash the leaves 🍃 and then put salt and wash the leaves again. At least 5-6 times. I watch her all the time. Traditional old fashion cooking 🧑‍🍳. Thank you 🙏 sister, it is an Honored Tradition. These girls women today do not know how to cook, they need to watch you.

Hi Miss Gina, that looks so good. I have never made this but have always wanted to try it. This made my mouth water. My mother and grandmother used to talk about this meal but never made it. I will have to share with my Auntie when I do make this. Oh, BTW those pin bones are tendons and my mother-in-law would take those out before cooking the legs. It actually makes the meat more tender and easier to get off the bone. Get a brand new pair of plyers that will be used only for the kitchen, which is what she did. And you can find the tendons at the base of the leg by the knuckle. Just grab it and pull them out. Sometimes they are tough but keep at it until you get most of them out. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

It looks like it would be easier to clean them first like you do and then cut them but I’ve never made them before so idk. I’m watching this so I can try to cook me some yum 😋

Gina You have given the readers food for thought. Instead of brown sugar in the greens, try using red bell peppers chopped with the pnions it gives the greens a wonderful flavor. Have a great and safe holiday.

Just found your videos and I've been binge watching all day. I have a big pot just like you are using here (except it's yellow) and the knob on top broke years ago. My 9 year old grand-daughter told me I needed to put a new knob on. (She sees herself as an expert cook) When I told her that I couldn't find new lid knobs she looked at me, sighed and said..... "DUH!!! Just use one of the wooden drawer knobs." GUESS WHAT????? It works. LOL! Keep up these great videos. I enjoy them because of their content AND I love your joyful personality.
