Gina you have changed my life as well as my family's life! I absolutely hated the kitchen because I did not know what to do in there. My menus were very limited, so we used to eat out alot. Eating out all of the time is expensive, and no healthy. Since following your channel my cooking skills have increased 10 fold. I have begun to lose weight I can't say I am saving money yet because I had so many spices and things to buy, but I know I will see savings soo . Additionally we would never eat leftovers and now everyone fights for leftovers 😀 food no longer goes in my fridge to die😀 thank you again. May God continue to bless you❤🙏❤🙏

Gina my Mama always put a pinch or so of baking soda in her greens, it help to make them tender and take some bitterness out, she also did that when she boiled her teabags. Just thought I’d pass that alone. 🙌❤️Connie

If you put about half teaspoon baking soda in your greens they will cook in an hour nice and tender and with a good flavor. The cut up greens at Walmart is a much better value than the bag of Glory greens. They have three times more greens than Glory greens and taste the same.
@beanetricemcdaniel2494 жыл бұрын
Grandma taught me the baking soda trick..It does make them so much tender. She would dip her cooking fork into it a few times..That was her way of measuring ..

The way you cook your collard greens is similar mine. I always use the fresh collards though. I don’t like the stems and don’t want to take the time to remove them. I used your recipe for fried ribs yesterday and paired it with collard greens and smoked turkey wings, potato salad and a homemade blackberry cobbler for dessert. I used country style ribs instead of baby back ribs. Your recipe worked to perfection! Love your channel, keep up the good work.

Hi Gina, I am cooking my collards as I type. That's right , you have to cook them slow. When I was growing up, greens were 3 or 4 lbs for a dollar and mom would buy 12 lbs, put them in a big soup pot, put them on low and let them cook all night, we'd eat for days. God Bless and keep on cooking. 😊
