Oh yes, that would be nice! Unsure if you've done it here elsewhere, but I would love how to draw and paint common fruits . I've been struggling with doing an apple. The body of it looks okay, but it's that little depressed area where the stem is. I struggle a bit with how to add light reflection in that area, but getting better. Thanks, Michele!

A trick that I learnt at sewing school is to, drawing one perfect side, trace over it with tracing paper, cut out that shape, flip it over and line it up with the one you've already drawn, and finally, trace around your cutout. Ta dah! One perfect vase!

Yes Michele, I find it very helpful when your lesson focuses on a specific item/thing. so funny that this week's lesson is about containers.........In my early sixties, kids grown, sort of frustrated how things have changed in this crazy world, I recently concluded that a new long term goal is exactly what I need, a goal that would not depend on other people for cooperation. Since I enjoy to look at art, photography, nature, decorating and color/patterns, I would love to learn how to draw and eventually may be paint, so I would be able to bring those elusive beautiful things I see onto paper. There are a couple of specific images that triggered my desire to acquire the skill of drawing. 1. My grown daughter + son each holding my mother-in-law's aging frail hand in their own. They are holding the hands that cradled them when they were little, that cooked food for all of us for decades, that held their hands to safely cross the street................ I know it requires a lot of skill to draw hands, but my goal is to learn that to bring that image to paper. 2. My all time favorite flower is "lily of the valley". unfortunately, in Los Angeles there are no lily of the valleys. For a long time I have been looking for a painting or photograph of this magical little flower, never able to find just the right one. I have my vision what that painting should look like, because I grew up collecting beautiful bouquets every year in May from our garden. And that is where this week's lesson fits in perfectly. I own a particular "woven pattern" ceramic pot that would look stunning with a bouquet of lily of the valleys. I ordered all my art supplies and am ready to learn. P.S. don't laugh, but this very lesson is precisely where I need to start, because my container/vessel drawing skills are at the level of a 4 year old. Excited to start. Thank you Michele

Another good video and its always good to be reminded of stuff Id forgotten. I dont tend to draw empty pots etc. So I usually (always) just rough it out and then line with a pen later. Ive also started )(again something new to me) sketching small objects in a book for later reference. However here in this part of Spain there are lots of pots outside houses and to be honest none of them are symmetrical, in fact some are so out its a challenge to actually draw the things..I could sit here all day watching your videos. Thanks for spending the time on these.

This is exactly what I need. Your methods are so easily understood and can be implemented immediately. I keep hearing the refrain: If the drawing is not right, then the painting doesn't work. This sort of video is a go. I like it a lot. Showing the wrong way with the correct in encouraging. I know you do that a fair amount. I thought it was worth a mention. However, (here we go, he's gonna gripe!). I would also love to you unleashing you talents with a brush now and then. (That wasn't so harsh was it?). Hehehe. All good stuff Michele, and always a joy to watch. TTFN

Yes, I like your “deep diving” very much! All the perspective tips are helpful. I have been painting a dock coming off the shoreline…it’s been very challenging.

This is so helpful, Michele, thank you so much, I love the ‘deep dive’ style of it - so helpful to be reminded of these techniques even though you’ve covered many before, as each time you explain it a little more stays with me!!
