Today we're stepping Into The Meadow, adding Simple Stitches to Create an Embroidered Landscape beyond our 'Threshold'.
I will show you how to create depth and perspective in your embroidered scenes using really beginner friendly techniques. This is Part 4 of our May Stitch Along.
You'll need some fabric scraps, embroidery threads, needle and scissors and perhaps an erasable marking pen.
Think about what sort of scenery will reflect the mood and atmosphere of what you hope will be beyond your threshold. Mine suggests an flourishing life and regeneration, so I have used vibrant tones to create a meadow. Yours may be very different.

Join me at 2.30pm GMT every Sunday for a restful time of slow stitch, embroidery and textile art. Each month we are going to create a complete piece of art that we will create bit by bit each week.
Feel free to follow my design, use my piece as inspiration, or you could use the same techniques as me to create something totally original.
I hope to try lots of new things this year as I create my 2024 stitched journal. I hope you will come along for the ride!
Please tag me when you post your creations on social media. @featherstitchhouse and use #fshwingingit24 so that I can see your beautiful work.
