This review series has so far been great! Its great having all the coaching cues in numbered and condensed videos that beginners and even intermediate kettlebellers can refer to. Great content as always!

Numbering this series is great. A really nice progression. Plus just adding a comment to try and promote the video. Thank you Mark.

Hey Mark!!! I have watched your vids from the moment I started doing Kettlebell. This series is invaluable and you are doing a tremendous public service to get folks exercising by breaking the moves down to their smallest components then building from there, locigal step to logical step.. Really. Sharing your knowledge, and giving it away, is awesomely awesome. Thank you so much!!!!!

Hard to believe, but this series has improved upon previous videos. Great to work through them and find out what I have been doing correctly, what I am understanding and what, for various reasons, I missed on the first time through.

I bought my first kettlebell (24kg) a week ago and I did this (100 on each side) today. There can’t possibly be any faster way to hit your entire body! 🔥🔥🔥

Great, detailed instruction. If followed properly, this will empower many with great form and bodies that aren’t banged up. “Not getting hurt is always the goal.” If only more trainers and strength and conditioning coaches lived these words.

Only recently started following your channel. I love your style of explaining stuff during exercises (cues, timing and intonation) and away from exercises reminds me of that of a choreography or dancing teacher. Very accessible to understand, follow along and replicate for others

Hi Mark! I have a couple of requests to make of you: a) You have mentioned, on multiple occasions, different get ups like krav get up, judo get up, etc. Could you make a video illustrating the differences (& similarities) between those? That'd be helpful. b) Could you also make a video illustrating the differences between a (standard/standing) windmill, a bent press & a side press? These exercises seem similar - esp. to beginners - and I think your clear instructions would help people with the cues on how to execute them differently...what to focus on & when/in which order... c) While you're doing the Basics series, please make a few basic videos on rotational KB movements to help train the transverse plane. I think everyone can (& should) train this plane more, and almost everyone doesn't due to lack of knowledge (&/or equipment). Most gym style straining (& even KB training) is mostly in the sagittal & frontal planes... Exercises like rotations cleans, rotational presses, rotational (or side-to-side) swings, rotational snatches, etc would make excellent videos for this Basics series. You can of course add more (complexity) to this, and that'd be super fun! Thanks for all your work, Mark!

Can we just take a minute to give some respect to your camera person. Not only is your content always on point but the video is always perfect. Lots of movement to show the angles but without shaking or weirdness. Nice

Switched up my swings now to use hand to hand swings on my light days and regular swings on my heavy days because of this video. Felt it was time to start a new movement pattern. I noticed that my shoulders do seem to get pulled a little out of line (i.e. at the top of the swing, my weighted shoulder creeps forward). It seems like it probably shouldn't, so guessing this is some movement pattern improvements I need to work on, as one of the core's jobs is anti-rotation and mine isn't exactly doing that all the way.

Hi Mark, I’m new to KB’s and I have been following your sequence of workouts from the start which I’m really enjoying it’s made it fun rather then what I’m used to and I’m up to about here. I’m now at the point where I’m trying to figure out a good workout routine to follow. What do you recommend or do l just keep adding the next video into my routine as l have been thus far. Appreciate any help here. Truly grateful for your videos thoroughly enjoying it and it feels great on my body!

Mark, awesome video and cues. One thing that has been told to me, is too use a "finger" grip. Could you explain that? I am not sure if it is the way I have been starting out, which is different than what you explain in this video, I will be changing. You have the kb vertical to your feet, I tend to have mine horizontal to my feet. Thanks

Hey Mark, love your channel, it is so informativ.b As i understand it, the start of the series is to learn the hip snap motion. Or is the two-handed swings also to build up for the progression to one-handed swings? If so, how long should I do the two-handed swings for?

3 years. Many people have swing progression programs. I have one as well. Think of swing variations like deadlifts, you will do them the rest of your life

Question? Do you think its better to switch every swing or do 5/10 swings switch 5/10 swings? I always did two handed so never had to factor this into the equation.

I must have missed the thumb down technique when I started kettle bell training 6 months ago, is it the correct method throughout training or a safety system for beginning?

my callused hands hurt too much when I try the hand 2 hand swings.. any suggestions on how to avoid that?
@ericolofsson

You might be catching the bell too far in your hand pinching the top palm skin, you want to try to hook it with only your fingers. It's more obvious in snatches for example, you want to jump the bell from thumb too fingers and not drag it across the palm. If you got big calluses you want to file those down.
