Introducing Fire Light Tidbit™

3 жыл бұрынDr. Judson LeCompte gives an inside look at the one of the exciting new hydrangea paniculatas, Fire Light Tidbit™.
A dwarf hydrangea, a bit like Bobo®. but with a lower, mounded habit and a lot more color. The late-season blooms emerge a bright lime green, transition to white, and quickly take on hues of dragon fruit pink. A perfect, little front of the border plant to pair with Supertunia Vista Bubblegum®. As a bonus, it will often give you a nice display of orange-red autumn foliage.
It is hardy to USDA zones 3 - 8 (-40°F/-40°C) and will grow to be 2 - 3' (.6 - .9m) tall and 3' (.9m) wide.

This hydrangea looks amazing! Hydrangeas are my absolute favourite plants...especially paniculata types because of my zone 4/5 gardening zone...they are truly reliable & never fail to look great all season long in my zone! Yay...always super excited about NEW reliable hydrangeas! Thank you for your continuous hard work on finding new and beautiful hydrangeas for us to enjoy!

These are magnificent. We planted 12 for a border this year and they look gorgeous. Sturdy, strong, beautiful texture and color. Perfect for our garden where we didn't have the space for larger hydrangeas and were feeling lost without them - this tidbit fits the bill!

As soon as I saw this video the first time, I ordered this one and limelight prime, also quick fire fab, they got delivered to my house within 24hrs from proven winters. I can't wait for the following season!

Can't wait to see these in the nurseries, hopefully, next year. I did see Limelight Prime and QF fab (I snagged one for $15 - woohoo)! Will definitely be on the lookout for FL Tidbit.

How far should I plant them to create a hedge like in this video?

If you want them to be right next to one another, planting the centers of the plant 3' apart would work well, if you were wanting a little space between them, you can plant them 4' or further apart ☺

I got a fire light, a fire light tidbit, and a quick fire fab recently. Is it Zinfin Doll on the same row with those lovely fire light tidbits?

Those are actually trial hydrangeas so they are introduced varieties next to the Fire Light Tidbits :)

What is to the right of the tin bits? I'm looking for a small sun loving hydrangea possibly a bit taller and more free form, not as tidy and compact in shape.

Thanks for your question! The hydrangeas next to the Fire Light Tidbits in this video are trial hydrangeas so they aren't out on the market.
