solid axle is ideal for drifting, just do a a parallel 4 link and a watts link, do a miata steering rack(same track width) extend lower control arms and do angle and the 1uz. my s10 did awesome with just traction bars and towing coil shocks. i also have zr2 sway bars. also rear mount gas tank instead of mid.

I'm so excited for this build, feels close to home as in Australia, utes are the skid pigs and they are usually low and well powered. No weight in the back and a big turbo 6 or an 8 gets the back well and truly sideways

AE86 has a solid rear end, so it may not be a bad thing.

Check Amazon for an Ozone machine. Run that thing for 24hrs. Replace your a.c. filter and spray Lysol through the duct work. That should take care of any funky odors. Looking forward to the build man!

I've seen parts of this build in the past, but have only just decided to start from the start, and honestly? The beginning has made me want a stock B2200 more than ever. Looked like you were having a heap of fun as-is.

The car is probably shaking because you need an alignment, and your rotors are probably warped if it vibrates when you brake.

looking forward to all the videos coming up on this, I've had a 1993 B2200 for a couple years now as a back up vehicle and it's always fun to take for a drive. My daughter likes it because of the 'cool' hand crank windows.

I would 5.3 swap it. The are super cheap, super reliable, and they make good power. (285hp and 325 torque) You can shoehorn it into about anything you could possibly imagine. I have found several 5.3s with less than 150K miles for less than $500 (even as low as $250). I really recommend it as an engine. And part are CHEAP. every 1999-2006 Chevy and GMC truck has these engines (also 4.3 V6 and 4.8 too). Think about it. Just a recommended. 4.8 is the same motor with different pistons, it's a little more rev happy, but just a reliable. Makes 270hp and 295 torque

Hm, I had one of these not too long ago and sold it. 1991 b2200, Welded diff and the little 4 cylinder didn’t do too bad. Was wire tucked, bay flaked, slammed, and Weber converted. They’re fun. Also, flip the overload springs to the top of the leafs and take a regular leaf out, will keep the wheels from hopping.

Super exited for this build!!!! I’m planing on getting a old mini truck and turning it into a street monster and this build should give me some help with that. Hope for the best and all the luck on this build👍

Why is the hell is this truck a six lug?

Honestly lager full cell and rear radiator would be perfect, and sense its a truck and ur in the cab u dont have to worry about makeing anything to separate you from the fuel cell radiator or battery, so u can easily pass tec.

Love it man I helped my cousin build a 2200 back in the late 90s It had air shocks up front with the torsion beams cranked as low as it would go we also cut out the inner fender wells up front so it could sit nice and low, a 3" c notch in the rear with air bags and on board compressors a smooth cap on the back with a walk thru from the front of the cab to the back with a geo tracker seat installed in the back Truck was slow as shit but it looked good and actually rode quite well

So much potental i am on the Edge of my seat for this build .So exited nice find way to go gungrats super stoked for it if u cant tell this is going to be intertaning .So small and light it will be ez to drift ( with proper mods ) cant wate.
