So far, just based on features, this bipod is fantastic. It offers features only found on much more expensive bipods, and that I have found, none of those expensive bipods has all of these features in one bipod. The only extra features I would ask for are spring-loaded return for the legs and easier-to-activate switches for folding up the legs.

Well built bipod. Some good features. Few issues though. Since it can rotate 360° it moves while in the stowed positions. I had to turn both tension adjustment screws all the way to the tightest setting. Anything less and it will move around. I like the feature but it isn't very well implemented. The bipod is way to loose if not tightened all the way. This doesn't leave any room for adjustments. Also, after i shot about 200 rounds the bipod fell off the rail. The mounting adjustment screw came loose. Before I started shooting I hand tightened it as much as I could. I like the bipod but i only see it usable at the range. Not practical in a field setting. The build quality is good. Its very sturdy. I do like the ability to rotate, cant, and tilt. If the tension system was different this would be one of the best bipods.

Looks interesting, but I'm not really digging the way the legs are deployed/extended. It's too slow and cumbersome, which was one of the things I disliked about the GG&G XDS bipods. The legs on the Recon appear to be beefier and more robust than the Atlas, which always seemed kinda chintzy to me. Also, I'd prefer the ability to lock up the pan and tilt and not just a tension adjustment. For real world tactical applications I would stick to the KAC precision bipod. However, I will still probably buy one as a lower cost alternative for my kid's 22LR since it seems well suited for bench shooting.

Now when are we going to see a small mono pod to mount on the buttstock of a bench rifle? Not very many companies offer these monopods and Accu-Shot, the most common brand, costs about twice as much as a UTG bipod. I like how UTG products are inexpensive yet still really good, and I have a hard time justifying buying a more expensive item that isn't necessarily any better for my needs. Also, are there any plans for a quick use tilt and pan locking lug? Tilt, pan, and cant adjustment is very nice, but sometimes I like to be able to get things level and lock them in place.

half to ask i love the idea of your bipod and i feel with a few more user friendly options you guys could do really well with this bipod but is there any way to mount it straight to the swivel stud with out using a adapter and adding more weight

if this utilizes a ball joint doesn't it still move while retracted if not how come is it stable while retracted?

can it handle big calibre rifles?
