Produced from 1998 to 2014, each video in The Studio’s Master Class Series presents a portrait of an artist and teaches a glassworking technique. Until now, these 30-minute videos have only been available on DVD.
In Volume II, William Gudenrath provides instruction in the basics of Venetian glassblowing and creates his own Venetian-inspired glass pieces on camera. He takes viewers through the processes he uses to teach students the basics of Venetian glassblowing in his popular course at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass. The video also explores the artist’s passion for glassblowing, teaching, and music.
Resident adviser of The Studio, Gudenrath is a glassblower, scholar, lecturer, and teacher. An authority on historical hot glassworking techniques from ancient Egypt through the Renaissance, he has presented many lectures and demonstrations.

It's always a pleasure to watch William Gudenrath in action-- a true Master of glass blowing-- who always makes it look so easy and so fun. And he does all of it without an assistant.

His videos have been a delight to me during the Covid-19 lockdown. This adds to the pleasure. Oh, and he has such a lovely voice for narrating his videos!

great commentary, better than volume one, where that artist just wistled the whole thing!, but nice to have the "bench" work explained, how he extrudes the form, and what the tool work is good show, have watched cmog for a few videos now, nice to have some what/why's of the technique explained a little more clearly.
