Water is a crucial component in agricultural productivity and contributes to food security. As the population increases, more food needs to be produced; thus, more water will be used. With the current practice, 35% of the water used in agriculture is for paddy production. However, It is assumed that 2500-5000 liters of water are needed to have 1 kg of grain. In reality, it requires less than ⅓ of this amount to have 1 kg grain.
