India is celebrating its 77th independence day as well as 76 years of independence on 15th August 2023. Along with that, it is the 76th year of India's partition as well as the violence. This video explains the history of communalism in India and how it led to the partition of British India into India and Pakistan. The story begins with the Divide and Rule policy introduced by the British to divide Indian society on the basis of religion. The formation of the All India Muslim League and the introduction of a Separate electorate or communal electorate in India was another step. The rise of Muhammad Ali Jinnah as an extremist leader during the Simon commission and the Nehru report is also discussed. The Pakistan resolution and the two-nation theory along with the proclamation of the direct action day and associated violence are also discussed. And finally, the Mountbatten plan and the faulty boundary drawn by the Radcliff boundary commission led to massive migration and violence in India during the 1st Independence day.

എല്ലാ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരും കണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ട ചരിത്രം. ബ്രിട്ടീഷ്ക്കാരിൽ നിന്ന് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടി ഇപ്പോഴും വർഗീയതയിൽ നിന്ന് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല.. 🙁 എന്ന് അതും നടപ്പാക്കുമോ അന്ന് ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് ശരിക്കും മോചനം ലഭിക്കുകയുള്ളു.
