turtles are innocent creatures and they just make efforts to live. still humans are the most dangerous animals.

We, people are the reason native western painted turtles have declined. Asserting that red eared sliders are sizing/muscling them out is laughable at best, if that was the case, Ontario wouldn't have any painted turtles, only snappers. Breeding turtles is easy, start a breeding program for western painters, it would be no harder than breeding red eared sliders.

Bro ever since 2 years ago all of the turtles in mill lake and el wood are painted turtles because the turtles I see on the logs and when they go on my rod which pisses me off, their all painted. Because they have the orange belly and also they don’t have the red stripes. Most of these claims are people seeing painted turtles on a log then they think it’s a red eared slider.
