There's a whole school of thought that everything that every person does in life is aimed at feeling good. There's a famous Abraham Lincoln story in which he saved a lamb from being run over by a train. When his travel companion called it selfless, he said it was nothing of the sort. After all, how awful would he feel if that lamb had died? My point: I don't think that wanting to feel good doing something isn't selfish, but rather a lack of masochism. About Mark not telling Amber: that's not a trivial secret. It literally could cost lives to let this particular cat out of the bag. I get that Amber puts a high premium on honesty, but boundaries, people. You can't ask this from your casual boyfriend. Your relationship needs to be a lot deeper before crossing that bridge. And Cecil: Mr. Grey man. Not good, not bad. Also, not a man that sees a line and avoids crossing it (I could've written that better).

Kat has to have on of the best 'poker faces' on the planet. Sometimes you can't tell if she's looking into another universe, super engaged, uninterested or 100% invested. :) You guys are both awesome!

The one teen guy knew (or learned from his stepdad) where Immortal was actual buried. They read a rumor posted by the Mauler Twins on the internet. It was a bait so they could get a body of Immortal for one reason or another.

That's actually a good theory. That the Mauler Twins put that rumor online in order to get someone to reveal the secret burial site of the Immortal.

In case anyone is confused about how much time has passed, Amber and Mark have been dating for six months. The show doesn't really help the audience much on how time has passed. You only really know when Eve mentions it.

And yeah maybe normally you might want to tell your partner, buuuut, this girl already blackmailed someone to force them to give you her number. What happens if the relationship ends bad and she decides to tell your identity and puts your mom in danger by the villains. I get he cared about her but that's a bad way to start a relationship and with how fleeting HS relationships are I don't know about telling your identity to anyone until you're older and REALLY trust someone.

This is sadly the weakest episode of season 1. Even when I was a teenager I hated teen drama bullshit. But this episode does 1 thing very right, it makes Debra Grayson a MUCH better character than she was in the comics at this point in the series. Also I love how Mark Hamill plays the man who make the costumes for superheroes after playing Joker for 30 years.

love the first season but this is prob. my least fav. of all the episodes, but not saying its bad or anything. Mauler twins spread the rumor on internet when he told the other to grab a shovel for their insurance policy. Plus this is the point I personally didnt like how they did amber. They are both teens and he just got his powers a few months ago and thrown into this super hero world, talk about stress. I like they made her a bit more interesting than the girl next door version like the comic but at same time she acts sus alot of times in the series for me.

It's funny Mark doesn't get beat that much in this episode, because I bet every viewer wanted to kick his ass.

It has been more shown and I assume that Omniman doesnt have super hearing.....
