Hi Everyone
This week on MEC-TEC we are working on my sister in laws 1st car, the INVINCIBLE Ford Fiesta called Harvey which she has had for 11 years !! We are doing some final repairs before it goes onto a new owner.

Here after they announced them stopping making fiestas. Hopefully the new owner of this keeps this running and well. Don’t wanna lose old fiestas. 😅

My sister had the Ghia version in the same colour, a lovely little car to drive around in.

They are superb, my other sister in law had a 5dr ghia in the same colour as this one state blue with same wheels, it was great when they were parked together ! 👍👍👍

Great results. I bought a 1.25 LX brand new back in '99 on a T plate. First week I had it someone stole the hubcaps and prized the Fiesta logo off the boot leaving a great big deep scratch 😢

If you overdo the use of the concentrated J12 blasted from your hose, you need 10 times the amount of G101 and elbow grease to clean it off.... That white splat doesn't look like paint.....

My first car was one of these. 1.3 1995 3 door. It cost me 300 quid and was the same dark blue as yours. I was 18 and loved it.

Nice job! Lots of detailers use G101 to clean. And they use carpet machine to soak up the water in the seats.

@@mec-tec why don't you see if to manufacturers like Karcher etc will let you do a review on the car detailing tools? You'll finish up calling the channel "Muc-Tec" though :)

Have the same fiesta, even the same color. : D i love that little thing. Do you have the name of the color? i couldnt figure out how its called or what number it has, it only says W3 on the Front plate in the enginebay.

Mate any details on the polisher and kit you used? Motor came up amazing!!

Hi mate i use a braun rotary polisher with 3m fast cut plus and then 3m finnesse it followed by turtlewax graphene ceramic wax applied by hand 👍👍👍

@@mec-tec Mine has rusted sills and part of floor is rusted away. It’s going to be sent off to have the floor and Sills replaced next month. Then it will be back to happily driving around again.

Thanks for the video...I have a question, how did you remove the rusted areas? what did you use to remove them without damaging the body of the car? was it sandpaper? what grit? thanks again

Hi mate Thanks for the msg, from memory i used an 80grit flap disc in a grinder then some finer paper after 120 and then 240, hope this helps MEC 👍👍👍
