As a hunter, thank you for explaining to those who don't hunt the fact that the deer are utilized fully and hunting benefits both the farms and deer.

Really enjoyed watching your deer hunting videos. Its ok to change it up from farming once in awhile. Plus I know from growing up in northern Illinois and now living in Kansas how much damage deer do in the fields and on the highways. I am not a hunter but I am thankful for those who are,as we need to keep the deer population under control. Keep up the narration also.

Thank you for taking me along on your 2021 shotgun season one deer hunt. It was alot of fun. Kudos to how safe you all are. Looking out for what is beyond your target, unloading your shotgun when crossing fences and following all the laws like socking your gun in state park land. You contribute alot to hunters and those of us who share in the great sport of hunting ethically in this country. As a hunter myself we need more videos like this for those who oppose hunting. Thanks again. Happy holidays!

This series marks 1 year of watching you all! Growing up in Southern WI and working on farms and doing drives are great memories. And I get to relive them watching your videos. In LaCrosse WI now but with kids grown and farm friends in Southern WI not doing drives anymore (age) I get to watch yours and watch your farming. Thanks for the great videos! They all bring back great memories!

Ron That’s the only way hunt deer in your area and that’s how we or I should say that’s how we hunted in Ohio when you don’t have hunting pressure from people that don’t let people hunt to manage the deer population and I don’t know if you can apply for a kill permit for crop damage. Love to see Pat on camera again and maybe talk about the family history of the farm

This is your channel and your conversation the way you choose. It would be a little boring just seeing trees and field with no talking. I for one enjoy every video you post. Keep doing the way you doing now. And when you want a little excitement and get your adrenaline pumping come hunt with us in Virginia and listen to the noise of the hounds rolling a deer through the woods. The buck shot flies.

The balls you are kicking that puff green are called puffballs. A type of mushroom. Green is over ripe. By kicking them you are spreading the spores. Ripe puffballs are so tasty. Cook them like you do french toast. Egg & milk. Dip & fry. Very rich. Eat them all the time here in Ontario Canada.

Those balls you keep finding are puffball mushrooms and if you find them earlier in the year when they are all white and solid you can cut them in 1/2" thick "steaks" and fry them up with some salt and pepper to taste. Of course consult a book or other source to be sure of what your picking and eating but as long as those are solid and white on the inside they should be good to eat.

Mushrooms called giant puff balls. When they are all white you cans slice them up and peal the outer layer off and fry them in butter. Tasty. But once they start to turn brown they are bad and no longer edible.

Anything over 6ft has little to no browse deer can eat, plus when you have a tall canopy it blocks sunlight to the forest floor. Old growth is nice to have around, but has little to no valve for wild life. Cut big trees down sunlight reaches the floor a cover grows thick. Deer feel safe i dense cover. Or the wanted the cash, timber is at an all time high.

Those "green things" are puffball mushrooms. That's what happens once they mature. The green stuff that comes out when you kick them is the spores, so you'll probably find some in that area in the coming years. They are pure white when they first emerge.
