Harvest 2023 continues to grind forward as we wrap up soybeans and dive into my corn plot. Colt gives us some insight on what he thought of his first full harvest. Andrew explains his weight reduction program for the Volvo. I harvest a wooden post and we all say goodbye to a good friend.

We lost our dad just last fall, he was still in the tractor just 5 weeks before he pasted, you can't take away a great farmer, fought cancer but loved ever day that he had and never gave up

Ben, sorry for your lose but that was a nice tribute to Wayne. I lost my dad in February and he would have been 82 today. He was my mentor, business partner, hired man, herdsman, crop consultant, and father all roll into one

Sorry for your loss Ben. You are blessed to have had this man in your life. And he was blessed to have you. It is Obvious that you love him and he loved you. I know it was not by Mistake that you too met. I'm a old man now but I had old men in my life growing up who Taught me many things that I still used today. It's going to take a While to get used to him not being there. But you will you will get to a time you can Smile when you think of him. God bless you. R.I.P. Sorry for your loss. I'm 81. As you might expect I have lost many loved ones and other friends. It never gets easier, but it is the natural cycle of life. Every living thing dies. Some of us will be famous, others will just pass through...but each of us will effect those around us in some way. You were lucky because you knew and loved Wayne and he knew and loved you. That made both of you better people. He will remain in your heart forever. Now it's up to you to pass that on. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Just remember the good times and you have the videos that keep him alive. So sorry at least he was not in hospice care for a long time unlike my Dad and myself now. Now he is watching you and your family wherever you are he will be with you like my adopted Dad and grandpa the two are working on calling me home I can feel their presence every day and you will feel that as well. Very rarely does a relationship like the one you and Wayne had form. The man knew after a short time you were worth his time and effort. One of my best friends was 20 plus years older than me and he just passed away recently. I knew from the first time meeting him we would be very good friends. I'm sorry for your loss Ben, Wayne was one of a kind.

Wayne seen that you had a great heart from your first meeting and you would spend 3 hours visiting with him. He saw that you had the right character and wanted to see you to succeed. Life’s funny because here you think that he helped you but he knew that there was going to come a time when he needed you so it all works out. Bless you for being Wayne’s friend and being wise enough to accept his offer. He will be missed but he will be shining down on you and your family. Now you will have to add to your list of chores to keep his ditches mowed ❤

I'm so sorry for your loss - Wayne was an amazing guy. I always enjoyed it when he joined you in the videos in some way...from riding along with you, him out mowing or checking in on you, to getting a haircut from you! Just a blessing to see the relationship and mutual respect and love you shared. Memories you will forever treasure. And the fact that you have so much day to day footage of him that you can share with your family as you and Molly grow it is another beautiful thing. Cheers to that 80 year old teenager that the Lord placed in your path! God moves in and through people in some amazing ways that leave us enriched. Ben, I know you know how lucky you are to have had Wayne in your life and how lucky Wayne was to have you in his. You mntioned the phone calls and I had to smile. Mine were at 10:00 PM sharp but now that I'm in my late 70's, I do the calling, but at 6:00 AM to my kids to let them know it's going to be a great day. :)

I was not expecting that news. I never met Wayne, only knew him from what I saw in all your posts when you would have him in them and still I knew there was a man to be revered and respected just as much as I respect you. I’m 67 years old and my youngest is just a few years older than you but I have great respect for you because you are a humble man with a wonderful wife and great friends that we get to watch on your channel. Ben, I am just catching up on this video. It breaks my heart to hear the passing of Wayne. Although I never met Wayne, I hunted and small farmed with an elder friend of mine that I mentored and loved every day I got to spend with him. He taught me so much about hunting, farming and just sitting on the porch of a shack and learning about life. I loved when you asked us to mail Wayne a birthday card a few years back. During that video you mentioned North Carolina, I hope that was mine. Cheerish the time you had with Wayne and you pass that on to the next young farmer. Cheers from Eastern North Carolina.
