my iPad Pro never crashes with procreate so its probably apple being a jerk and making the new iOS screw up the older iPad models. now im scared for when the new iPad Pro comes out since I can't afford to buy a new one for a long, long time............ TT

I read on the procreate forum that it happened also on older version of iPad pro after the update! So far it only does that when I use the last layer available in the file! So it's not a big deal if you avoid that, I hope it's going to be fixed! I am afraid it could get worse tho! 😭

Not an ipad pro but an ipad 2 I used to use for drawing, it's unusable now it lags like crazy and I can't open any apps, its definitely Apple being a jerk. Was going to buy an ipad pro but I'm going to look for display drawing tabs now.

Yeah! That suck!! Programmed Obsolesency? Dont know the word. Why they dont at least reuse the metals? If they are going to fuck up the old versions at least ve responsible for the amount of trash they are creating.... At least!

I just bought a 2017 iPad Pro from ebay for $300 and I'm really enjoying it so far. It's the 10.5" screen. I compared all the specs and it's not much different than the 2019 iPad Air. I kinda wish I had spent a little extra and got the big screen but 10.5 is plenty. They have a lot of good deals on refurbished ipads on ebay. Mine looked brand new to me so I was very happy with it.

I am happy you found a good one! Unfortunately in Italy there aren't many places where I can find them and there are a lot of online frauds regarding tech products, specially apple products so I opted for this one!

The lag issue with Apple products. They deliberately make your hardware act up so that you need to replace it.

I got the first gen iPad Pro 9.7 inch and it works great ! At first I wanted to buy the 10.5 but I realized it wasn’t worth it for me. I do find the size a bit small but I got used to it eventually :)

You should back up all of your art and brushes and re-download Procreate... maybe also restarting your iPad? I have an old iPad from 2017 and it never crashes...

I think you should see if you still have a guarantee. The prices of ipads are in the clouds, they are not justified, but people say they last a long time. But you're saying you're having a lot of problems with only 1 year of use. I was very surprised.

I am so excited!!! Now that I started doing some Commissions just last month now I can afford the ipad 7th gen❤️ your videos really makes me feel motivated and more excited to buy it earlier.. but my money is still on hold by paypal😂 waiting until sep.10... hopefully they'd fix the problem on procreate. I really wanted to use it!! I can't afford a pro cuz it's too expensive 💔 I'm really saving my money to help with the renovations in the house.

I'm a broke art student who can't afford a MacBook Pro so I'm thinking of getting an iPad air due to the latest Photoshop release and to come illustrator ~ and now everything is so clear! Thank you so much for sharing your experience but I do have one question, since I major in design what are your impressions on colour when you print your work? this is a main concern for me 🍓

I would recommend the ipad pro 2nd generation it costs way less than the newer ipad pros and it also has boarders

What size of canvass are you using and how many layers typically can it hold?

Procreate is ment to be used on IpadPro to full potential... and the limitation on your layers is because your ipad is old and lacks of app memory to get more layers, blame that on apple ;D

yea the bese model ipad is a real shit box after the first year. i have the 2018 ipad and youtube just crashes whenever it wants smh. got a 2017 pro recently and omgggg its better and daster but too over priced for a 5 yead old device. smh. im returning it and suffering with the base model again🚶‍♀️
