I’ve had iPadOS 15 running on my iPad Pro 9.7 (2016) for a little over a week now and so far it has done really well.

Not sure this question is addressed, but how well does iPadOS 15 on this 10.5 Pro deal with Safari and tabs needing to be reloaded when you navigate to other webpages or switch apps and come back? One of the principle benefits to having the better iPads (Pros) is that they do a lot less of this, and I want to be sure leaving iPadOS 14 for 15 doesn’t cause this behavior to get worse.

I can’t upgrade to iPadOS 15.3 stuck on 15

iPadOS 15 has stopped PROMotion working for me. I’ve checked the Accessibility>Motion>Limit Frame Rate is OFF. In fact switching it ON makes no difference which reinforces my view that the screen is not running at 120Hz at all any more. Any one else seen this feature?

I hate how horrible the update made my tablet look.They bunched all the apps together which in turn left borders around the screen.I hate it, the update messed the asthetics up on the tablet. They lined up the apps with the widgets.I hate it.

For my 2c I upgraded my 5th gen iPad from iOS 12 to 15, it was truly awful, the screen icons were tiny with HUGE gaps around the edge and no amount of settings would adjust this. I restored ios 14.8 onto it, that’s much better Don’t like the bold blue highlight they’ve added to Mail, not sure what was wrong with that before to be honest, but at least my apps now work due to the uplift in iOS version.

It’s not the software, but the hardware on the iPad Pro 10.5. I can see the bright spot in your screen just above the home button that plagues this model, I have it too and it’s growing every day. The Smart Keyboard Folio is failing, lots of videos on how the inside connections corrode. Apple did a replacement program on the 12.9 but not the 10.5. Battery life is in the toilet. While watching this video I lost 10% battery from 94% to 84%. I’ve erased and set up the iPad from scratch, the battery is just toast. So, $99 battery replacement and another $130 keyboard or upgrade at Christmas sales….

I would appreciate it SO SO SO much. 👍🏼 I AM concerned wether to update iPad Pro 10.5 because I’ve seen many comments about the Apple Pencil not showing up once updated to iOS 15. Hard resets didn’t work and ppl had to take their device into an Apple store. Ugh!!! I can’t afford to mess up my iPad. That’s completely bonkers that they haven’t given the text feature to The iPad because it was Evernote the first started that off years ago and that works on the iPad so there’s no excuse for that

What would you comment about the battery performance after the update?

Pity live text isn't included for this Ipad, the reason apparently only the A12 chip and higher can use this feature. Live text is very good and it's a feature that I would like, so I am thinking of selling my ipad pro 10.5 and getting either the Ipad air 4 or maybe the Ipad mini 6?

What about battery life? Does this iPad get warm like on certain iPhone models?

I’ve updated my 10.5 pro and everything is good overall except some lags when opening tabs view in Safari. But the new home screen and widget layout is absolutely horrible.

Yes it can work smoothly, but it drain your battery like drinking a soup 5% in 5 min like in this video though hmmmmm...

Solution: If your Ipad is cellular + Wifi then insert a sim card and then update it.
