If the 11 Pro had a glossy back, it would be the best looking iPhone. Glossy finishes gives that premium/luxurious look. Matte finishes looks cheap to me.

For the Volume on the iPhone xs Max. To make the speakers louder, go to settings, click on the “music app”. Then click on EQ. Then click on “late night”. This causes your speakers to become louder and the surround sound sounds better.

Upgraded from a X to an 11 Pro Max and my favorite improvements are the screen size and battery life for sure. I went from the 7 Plus to the X and wasn’t disappointed. Just wished they made a Plus version at the time. Now my dream phone is complete! Battery lasts me so long! Glad I waited out the XS Max. Gonna hold on to this phone for another 2-3 years.

I just switched from a iPhone XS Max to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, despite all the comments people was saying that it doesn’t make NO sense to upgrade, but the battery has always been my main issue with these phones. After knowing that the Pro Max last 5 more hours than the Max I HAD to upgrade.

G Town I don’t really care about finger prints tho... I normally have an apple cover on it. I don’t know why oh why people feel some type of way over a personal choice or opinion. I recall when XS max came out there were some people saying how ugly the phone was and how they don’t like the camera and I was happy with my phone unbothered. I never liked matte phones that’s just my opinion it cheapens the look of the phone that cost over a grand. No thank you 😊

If you only care about the looks then yes I'd have to agree with you. Other than the camera is nowhere near 8+/ X or even XS for that matter, battery is amazing, screen is sooo much better than 8+ and of course the SoC is so much faster even if you can't feel it in iOS instantly..

I’m using the XS Max for almost 2 years and I still love it. For me, it’s the prettiest iPhone so far. I almost want to upgrade to 11 pro Max because I like the quality of the camera. But I realized there’s not really much of a difference on the screen, just the camera in the back. I’m going to wait and see the 12 if they will totally change the design then I will get it.

Had the 11 Pro Max 512gb and returned it a few hours ago. The original X will remain my phone till the next redesign. It made me realize how much of a leap the X was from previous ones. Even the geek bench from the X to the Pro Max wasn’t that drastic. Oh well that’s $1750 back in my pocket till next year.

Please tell me something you used frequently with 3D Touch that you cannot do now with haptic touch. Excluding Gboard. I had an X prior and now the 11 pro Max. And haptic touch has been able to handle everything I need

Thanks for your review as always! I actually chose to get the iPhone XS rather than a bigger phone last year and love that it is so pocket friendly And easy to use in one hand. Being a dad with two young girls and two dogs this is far more beneficial than some may think. That said, one of my reasons for upgrading would be to return to the max size. I am currently testing the 11 pro max. I definitely notice some subtle differences in camera quality, but being a filmmaker there isn’t much of an improvement in video quality and I use Moment lenses and FiLMiC Pro anyway. It is very convenient to have those lenses built-in and actually I love the fact that you can now tap on the resolution and frame rate and change it within camera. I just don’t think it’s enough of an upgrade for me, so I think I’ll wait for next year.

Improvement to battery life and better cameras are the two things that really struck me with the 11 pro. One thing I’ve not heard mentioned, but I find very useful is the new aspect ratio for photos of 16:9 not available previously. Of course if it’s worth upgrading depends on your finances and how important the improvements are in your situation

I upgraded from 5.8” XS to the 11 Pro Max. Battery and cameras are both worth the upgrade already. Also agree on the 3D Touch. I was a heavy 3D Touch user and Haptic touch just can’t replace the responsiveness as the phone needs to recognize that longer hold. One thing I am not used to is with wireless charging. Centering the sweet spot on my wireless charger seems to be more difficult than on a smaller phone, so sometimes I leave it on the charger not knowing it’s not really charging. But I guess that’s by design. Maybe on the next one Apple can figure out some ways to add more coils or enlarge the effective charging area on the Max phones.

Hey. Thanks for your video. Question. When you compare brightness of the screen, do you deactivate auto-brightness in both iPhones? Or have it active in both ? Thanks. It is because I think brightness in iPhone 11 pro max is considerably less when you compare both With auto-brightness.

I think the iPhone 8 had the most beautiful gold color of all iPhones and I’m so disappointed that both the XS and now the 11Pro have been incremental downgrades. The new one just looks like yellow gold, the rose gold is completely gone! 😔

I’ve noticed that’s when you are on your screen, and your face recognition recognizes you, your notifications are visible, verses when someone else looks at your phone, it just has the app with “notification” there

The 3 main differences I noticed from my iPhone XS Max and my iPhone 11 Pro Max is 1) Face ID is crazy fast. 2) the cameras. Now u don’t have to step back to try to get everyone or everything into the picture. 3) the battery is so much better. I went from having 15% at the end of my day to 40%.

I could tell a difference in the screen immediately. Yeah it’s brighter but if I were to describe it in one word I would say Vivid. The display is crisp. Other than that it’s got a great camera and better battery life. My biggest complaint is the removal of 3D Touch. I used it a lot with quick access when pushing on the app and other things and now the phone feels noticeably slower when I’m trying to do things. I’m the most impatient person I know so when I touch the screen to do something I need it done yesterday. Let’s be honest there is at least a second and a half to two seconds difference when using haptic touch. I like the better battery but I’m not convinced that was the trade off. Are used to get through most of the day with my XS and I always got to a charger in.

3D Touch is cool. But most people don’t use it. Some people do but most don’t. That is why they took it out. It’s not something that you need to have so you can use the phone. Right now the only thing you need to do is to get used to it. Even tho 3D Touch is gone, you still have haptic touch which it’s closest to 3D Touch. If not then it’s something.

Waiting one more year with my XS Max. I need reverse charge, get rid of the old fashioned notch, USB-C and an improved FaceID that can be unlocked horizontally. The “Pro” name doesn’t fit with this phone...

USB C would be a downgrade in my opinion. The lightning connector is superior and more robust.

@Tech Guru413 That is certainly a good point! I use USB-C with my Lenovo X1 + Thunderbolt cables for an external monitor. However the connector is already so... "chewy" that I really don't enjoy it :( The detents on my 3 year old iphone are still so crisp! You make a good point and I live with digging for that USB-C to lightning cable.

Upgraded from the 8 plus to the 11 pro max, needless to say it is a huge and truly awesome upgrade! My favorite upgrades are battery life, new Oled display, face ID which is underrated imo, and just overall speed and fluidity. My only complaint and its small, is trying to keep the glossy camera housing clean and free of fingerprints. Its not covered by a case for obvious reasons and its rather hard to get it clean to the OCD level i demand lol. Any tips for keeping the camera square clean would be appreciated 🤟🔥💯

I don’t understand all the complaints I hear about 3D Touch gone. I had an iPhone X so I am very familiar with 3D Touch. Now that I have the 11 pro Max it doesn’t feel like anything has changed. Long pressing feels just like 3D Touch to me and I’m able to perform every action I could do with 3D Touch in my iPhone X previously. My flashlight and camera still works from the lock screen just like before. Just change haptic touch under accessibility to fast.
