Everything in this video is good advice. However for the first step I’d just recommend using a heat gun(>$20 online) or even a hair dryer as most ppl don’t own one of those warmers.

You shouldn't need to remove the screen protector, if you're careful you should be able to do the repair without removing the protector.

If the battery is replaced by any other battery than the original one, it will give you a non genuine message, regardless of using a genuine battery or not.

This is how Apple trains those technicians. I’ve seen people just disconnect the battery and replace without removing the speaker or SIM card reader

Out of curiosity, why do you have to disassemble the entire damn phone just to replace the battery? Every Android I've ever owned, you just had to pop open the case, and simply remove the battery and replace with another. This is why Apple sucks.
