The drops onto the cinderblock are actually much more difficult tests than the drop onto the flat steel surface. The protrusions on the cinderblock can definitely shatter the glass, like a glass breaker with a tip, compared to a flat surface.

Hardness only increases protection against scratches etc. But hardness takes away the ability of bending and stretching. This results simply in more sensitive for breaking. I personally would choose scratches instead of breaking the glass. I know some people much more like to break the glass, they are the ones profit from it.

ceramic shield is technically harder than Gorilla Glass victus+, allowing it to be less susceptible to scratches from lvl 6 hardness objects on the Mohs Scale of Hardness. Of course, glass being glass, this higher hardness does not mean that it is tougher and less susceptible to cracking than other glass. To be sure, harder objects, such as crystal and diamonds, are much easier to shatter but less hard to scratch.

Nah these tests are actually completely useless. You can always be lucky or have bad luck with a drop. You can drop your phone from 3m and nothing happens and you can drop it from 50cm with a case and the glass breaks. All these tests show nothing but how the phones get damaged when they drop in EXACTLY the ways the get dropped here and your phone will never drop exactly like this. Even in these standardized tests here the phone always drops slightly different which has huge impact on the damage.

I don't think that is a good idea, from a logical standpoint. The stainless steel is probably more expensive and more difficult zu manufacture, at the same time doesn't help the phone not to crack its glass. Using flat screens instead of curved woulf probably be better.

Your tests should ALWAYS start with the corner drop. Not sure if your first drops are corner drops in your vids in general since i'm not a regular fan of your videos but i'd suggest you switch the back drop with the corner drop as that's the most droppable position when a phone is falling to the ground

I want to know what process do you use to get these broken phones swapped for new ones using apple care and Samsung insurance services. Also want to know if you lose money doing these experiments and if so how much does it costs you to get it fixed. I am guessing you just don't throw those away in the bin / recycle them just like that.

The added weight of the iPhone is really not helping at all. Apple has to improve their materials once again because reducing the battery is not really an option anymore. Reducing the quality of materials is not the Apple way either. So they need something that is stronger than steel but just as fancy and good looking.
@Raja995mh33
@Raja995mh33 Жыл бұрын
The iPhone 14 Pro are exactly the same weight as last year. And that despite the fact that the batteries got BIGGER on the 14 Pro - not smaller. And the difference on the Pro Max is negligible. It went from 4352 to 4323. Android manufacturers use 4900 mAh batteries but advertise them as 5000 mAu because there are always slight differences between each battery. Which means: the 13 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max have the same sized battery after all.

Apple needs to switch the Pro iPhones’ material to titanium to make them more drop resistant (it’s more durable and it’s lighter-you know it’s a good material for extreme conditions since they used it in the Watch Ultra). Apple also needs to minimize that camera bump. It’s a really big point of failure and previous iPhones with smaller camera bumps fared better on the drop test. Maybe make the phone thicker and switch to a hybrid design that curves towards the back but is flat towards the front? Kind of like the iPod touches.

I feel like as these phones get heavier they get more vulnerable regardless with the improvements. Like I don’t remember the 12 Pro Max suffering as much as the 13 and 14. Like I don’t think they are consider weight with these designs or don’t care cause you are going to put a case on it.
