Dynamic Island is simply awesome!! Not sure why the some have a hard time with the name "Dynamic Island". I think some just have this need to complain about something, anything!

Dynamic island is such a smart innovation. How does apple always take stuff everyone else has done and make it 10X better?

I’m looking forward to the action mode stabilization. I’m actually surprised a 3rd party hasn’t taken advantage of the ultrawide lens on the 13 pro and making a GoPro like stabilization app.

I have the iPhone 11. Just pre ordered the 1T iPhone Pro Max 14! Just the extra space alone will be great after having so little on this current phone lol. Looking forward to checking out dynamic island and a couple more extra features.

I am excited for the e-sim. Physical SIM cards suck. I used to work in AT&T stores and everyday we had to swap out SIM cards that had failed. My sisters phone just stopped allowing her to respond to texts and her VM stopped working and it was the SIM card. ESIM is a much better option.

I have 12PM and was definitely going to upgrade but I was really hoping for a green or blue option. May just wait it out and see

I’m getting it. Don’t care if I need it or not, I’m upgrading from my 12PM to the 14PM.

I got my niece a Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max last year when it came out. I wanted one for myself, but that notch really put me off. I pre-ordered an S22 Ultra when it came out this year, but like the S20 Ultra I had before, after receiving it, the photo image quality left me wanting. The 108MP photos still look bad! 😩 My LG V60 makes cleaner pictures. Today I pre-ordered a Deep Purple 14 Pro Max for me. My last iPhone was the 8 Plus back in '17. I liked its pictures a lot. Anyway, I like that Dynamic Island on the new one. I'm into all that playful, cutesy stuff. It's nice. 😁

I didn’t plan on thinking this way, but I’m thinking twice about upgrading my 12 promax to the 14 Pro Max. I’m starting to feel like it’s not worth the upgrade yet. My 12 pro max is still a powerful phone and it does everything I need with ease. I have to be careful because I am one of those people that upgrade only because I want the new thing.

It was sounding like the 14 was going to be a yawner, but, man, it is turning out to be a game changer. The Dynamic Island looks like it is going to be really cool. If I were in the market for a new phone I'd be picking one up, but I got the 13 Pro last year so I'm not planning on getting a new phone for a couple more years.

512gb deep purple pro max. All about the camera upgrades for me. But like you and really impressed with the dynamic island tech. Battery life is just a small upgrade from my 13 pro max so that’s just a meh upgrade for me

I decided to not upgrade this year. My 13 pro max is a beast and although now I wish I would have gotten the 1 TB option instead of the 512gb, it is just to good of phone to upgrade. I did upgrade my first iPhone 11 ( which I still have ) to the iPhone 12 base but I had so many display issues with that phone I traded it in for my 13 pro max because I wanted the best biggest display and beast of battery life. So couldn’t be happier with my 13 pro max. Will wait to see what they do next year and maybe even the year after. Still got apple care plus so that will make my iPhone last longer to. But can’t wait to see your video

When I saw the deep purple color for the 14 Pro, I had to have it. I went with the standard Pro because the Max is too large for my hands.

I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max Sierra blue and I thought of the 14 pro max there’s not much a difference expect the dynamic island feature looks cool but other features doesn’t excites me and the battery life is same as the 13 Pro max. Overall I’m gonna keep my 13 Pro max I’m happy with it and I’m definitely upgrading my watch tho. If you have a 13 pro and pro max if you want true little features but overall it’s not really worth the upgrade if you have 12 series or later then it’s upgrade

I’m interested in seeing if the iPhone can send short SMS messages via satellite… I kind of doubt it. I currently have that functionality with my InReach and unless it can do that, it looks like I’ll be keeping the InReach. I’m still going to get the 14 Pro of course.

I’m buying one because I’m upgrading, but I’m not really amazed by some of the “innovations” 1. Dynamic Island is cute and provides some functionality, while leaving a giant disruptive hole in the screen (looks like a badge holder). Is it just a less functional notification shade?? I still like the design just not hyped (may wow me in use) 2. The crash detection nice but it’s currently done on my Pixel phones 3. AOD actually…. I freaking love their implementation of this old feature. Only possible because iPhone battery life is amazing 4. Saw people excited about the 2x cam… been done before nothing special 5. The e-sim push, not an innovation, but I love that IPhone will FORCE the hand of industry 6. Satellite network…. 🤷🏿‍♂️. It is potentially lifesaving but I guess I’ll appreciate it once I get lost in an area without cell support. To me I was most impressed with the majorly expensive Apple Watch Ultra. Loaded with technical and build quality upgrades over the standard Apple Watch. That thing is a marvel. I will not be buying (sadly I’m an SE with a cheap bumper type of guy) If you are keeping count, I’m buying the the thing that did not wow me, but passing on the thing that I did love.

Coming from the 12 Mini to the 14 Pro. The Max is just too big for me, plus coming from the Mini will be a big enough change already. Definitely hanging onto my Mini as a collector's item though.

Funny you mentioned your wife and having that feature during your races. I'm a big mountain biker and often ride solo in the middle of nowhere, which isn't the smartest idea but is what it is. That's gonna give both me and her a lot of peace of mind!

i will be getting the 14 pro max, just not yet. atm, due to inflation and the war (im guessing) these new iPhones are very expensive here in EU. The Pro max 128gb is currently 1550€. Very brutal price point. Considering it was 1300€ roughly last year.

If you have a 13 pro max definitely not worth upgrading unless your rich then ball out but I’d wait til next years iPhone hopefully they can put a fingerprint censor and actually make a change to the body of the phone.

I honestly think gopro or apple should get into dash cams for car. They would wipe the market out. Imagine the seamless Bluetooth, cloud storage, dynamic motion camera, connectivity to phone, etc.. it would literally make $$ easily.

Base storage is NOT normal amount of storage especially with how many updates this phone will have and the amount of pictures and such a typical person would take. I have a 256 and I’m sitting at 102 right now l. It’s better to go 256 and up

First I would go Pro for the OLED display which is why I moved to the iPhone 11 Pro. Nice to be able to see the screen when I am out walking around, and in sunlight. When it comes to eSIM I am going to have to check with my carrier to see how this would work for me if I need to move to a backup iPhone. A few years back I dropped, and killed my iPhone to a point it would no power up. I was lucky in that I still had my previous iPhone so all I did was pop out the SIM, and move it to my old iPhone and I was back up and running until I could get my newer iPhone repaired. Need to see how hard this is going to be if I have a new iPhone that only supports eSIM. Is there a KISS way to move my phone number/eSIM to a backup iPhone? For now sticking with my iPhone 11 Pro with A13 154.9 GFLOPS supercomputer in my pocket until Apple comes out with an iPhone that has a USB Type C connector that I hope is either USB4 40, or USB4 80.

Not the biggest fan of the island but I'm sure it would would grow on me or become less of an issue over time. My biggest gripe with the phone is the lack of a Sim tray. As someone who switches between phones often this just seems like an absolute nightmare.
