This is an appropriate comparison. The S24 (regular) should be compared with the iPhone 15 Pro. The S24 Ultra doesn't have competition.

I know people say ios is smooth but my 14 pro max was lagging a lot before i traded it for the s24 ultra. The s24 ultra feels even smoother than the 14 pro max i had and i have no issues with lags, always silky smooth.

@Moha76b This is my first iPhone. I've always had 2 phones. But both would be Andriods. S10 and LG G8, than S21u and S21... this round I said lets try an iPhone. I never really wanted to go thru the learning curve, the usb c actually won me over of all things...lol. naturally I'm fumbling around the UI some right now. It's like the S24+ is my dominant hand. I've only had them both for 3 days. My goal is to get as comfortable with the iPhone.

StealthWarrior1989 I have the S24 plus man. I was just speaking on this visual. I love the plus though because I never liked the squared feel of the phone on the ultra and I don't use the S pen. To each is own however and I respect everyone's opinion. I'm on the S24 plus however.

Please display the internal operating temperature of both when doing these tests. Samsung is using a very robust vapor chamber that dissipates heat.

Btw all samsung phones automatically have power saving on so always make sure yours isint on because mine was for months and when I took it off it was 2x faster and smoother

I currently have a 13 Pro Max and a 15 Pro Max. I've been using Samsung Galaxy S series phones from the original Galaxy S thru the S22 Ultra. Couldn't quite get the Samsung out of my blood so I ordered an S24 Plus, still disappointed that they merged the Ultra and the Note lines.

Am I wrong in saying the iPhone might have a slight delay in loading the animations for each app? It looks like this to me even with the games. It appears the iPhone has a delay in loading the initial animations for each app. Maybe that is a delay in the initial load into memory.

I go back and forth with my 15PM and 24+. they're both fantastic phones, just a question of which OS do you prefer, are either locked into or whatever...everyone in my family is iPhoned, but I really like being able to split the screen with my banking app and budgeting app, so Sammy wins for that. Apple's Carplay runs smoother in my Honda Accord with a wireless adapter than the Android Auto on a AA wireless adapter. Lots more drop out with the AA vs the CarPlay. I love the Ultra watch2 compared to my Watch Classic 6. On the phones, that screen and quicker looking scrolling on the Sammy wins to me anyways. Tough to pick, so i just switch back and forth, it drives my wife crazy because of group chats with the kiddos....never ending agony!

Both phones list their screen sizes at an identical 6.7". But the Pro Max seems like not only the bigger phone but it looks in the vid like the screen is bigger too. Or is it just me? The S24+ seems to have smaller a smaller bezel all around but even taking that into consideration, just looking at the S24+ screen in the vid I can't visually see it as equivalent size to the Pro Max. Not only vertically but the Pro Max looks a fair amount wider too.

Another clear demonstration of why I love Apples white point. The Samsung’s are just too cold on vivid with the default white point. Putting the Samsung in natural, immediately puts it on par with the 15 Pro Max’s white point, having a proper D65 look. At least this is the case when comparing my 15 Pro Max to my base s24. In the past, Samsung was never this close in terms of accuracy. Samsung clearly designed this phone to be more iPhone like, prioritizing better color accuracy, including in their vivid mode, which everyone that doesn’t value or understand accuracy, complained about. I am for choices tho! At least Samsung gives choices, whether or not I think they’re right or wrong. All you vivid users….do this one test. Switch from vivid to natural on the test images within the display settings. Watch how vivid introduces more posterization into the color gradients. The banding gets worse as you increase saturation too. One huge thing I do notice still, is iPhones are superior in gradation handling. They just display a cleaner image. Very noticeable in gradients…. Ambient mode on YT is borderline ugly on the s24, in comparison to my iPhone. Smooth gradients on iPhone, and warping banding/posterization on my s24. I’d be lying tho, if I said I didn’t reach for my s24 more than I reach for my iPhone. There’s just a fun factor about the s24 and Android. I’ve been on IOS since 2019. I was strictly Android prior to that. So going back to Android feels kinda fresh and new. IOS, is still the same IOS. For better and for worse…. I still use my iPhone for any critical work, content creation, etc….but my s24 is never far from reach. If Samsung could just improve in some more critical areas, and top Apple…I’d probably go back to being a Samsung fanboy 😂 It’s mainly the video that keeps me on iPhone. Especially the Apple Log capabilities. That Black Magic App is the best camera app I’ve ever seen on a phone. The footage you can create is jaw dropping if utilized correctly. I just prefer how well rounded the iPhone always is. It’s proficient at almost everything.

@Epicgamer_Mac the snapchat camera uses the native camera for its pictures and videos with one ui 6.1. I have the s23+ and s24+ and the cameras are a night and day difference when using snapchat.

Samsung should do back camera design more prominent, like put more fatter rings surrounding those cameras and also the main important thing, they should put under display IR sensor for 3D face unlock. If Samsung does that from S25 series, they'll sell like hot cakes cuz believe it or not, iPhone users who are used to the face unlock would never wanna use a fingerprint scanner. Also face ID on iPhone is just better way to unlock IMO.. i just have to look at it.

People love to talk about how the A series chips are the fastest, completely ignoring that fact that Galaxy has 50% more RAM. I’ll take more RAM over a marginally faster processor any day. And it shows in the real world experience. Not to mention the s24 plus is a whopping $200 cheaper.

in terms of longevity, iphone bionic chipset is still better as it still retains it original superb fast performance for years, while for samsung especially for exynos or snapdragon, will start to lag in a few years.

I tried the bootup test with my coworkers iPhone 15 pro and my so 24 plus and the boot was faster than the iPhone. And I have not had any of those scrolling issues that were displayed here. I do clear my ram and restart my devices daily.

You can make it to where it auto restarts your device under battery in settings

that is the issue with android phone where you need to manually clear ram or set some schedule task to restart the device for smoother experience whereas iphone does not need to do any of that and still able to achieved smoother experience in daily usage.

@@farhannik7039I actually restarted my iPhone 14 pro daily. I just feel better doing that to my devices. Even after more than a month in, the s24 has been a more enjoyable experience than my iPhone. I still have a Mac and an iPad that I use daily and they get the same treatment.

That doesn't matter... Not only wilk it perform slightly worse than the snapdragon in most games but snapdragon in itself sucks at gaming when compared with the iphone just because of optimisation...

Animations on samsung still doesnt have the fluidity of iphone. Side by side when both set to 60 hz. The iphone looks like 60hz/FPS and samsung looks more like 30hz/FPS. It literally looks like the animations on samsungs are "lower resolution" meaning they use less frames in their animation compared to apple. I notice that stuff. Most people dont. Also yeah color is not well calibrated on the samsung and that has been a problem for years on samsung devices and they are now finally fixing it. Iphones colors look vibrant while not looking overly saturated like samsung vivid mode. You do get more until from android as i love downloading apps from other sources than playstore. Although when i get a mac i wont need an android to do that anymore lols.
