Two great faults with this video are 1) You don't show how to remove the screen at the top and 2) You don't explain what to do if the adhesive strips break (as they almost certainly will!) For a 'how to' video to be useful it has to be comprehensive.

WTWHAT! Nice job getting me halfway. Yes the adhesive snapped, coulda used a proceed with extreme caution on that one. Now how the FUDGE do I get the new battery back in? I can't just slap it in the way I pulled it out - how to do the adhesive??

I checked out a couple of videos on this before coming here; this one was the best IMHO. Regarding the sticky strip breaking issue mentioned below, the secret I found was to get a good grip on it (not just a corner) and pull slowly, evenly and vertically (perpendicular to the battery. I did break one strip by pulling too quickly, but I was able to get it going again with my tweezers. Nice job folks; I am charging the new battery now. I replaced the screen a month or so ago too, which was cracked, the iPhone feels light new again!

This method works for removal, but the "follow the steps in reverse" is bullshit as iFixit doesn't show you how to reapply the adhesive strips or the screen adhesive. C'mon, guys!! Do you need a refresher course?? The iFixit toolset that comes with their battery replacement kit is excellent.

Yeah it lacks the adhesive strip installation. Bought my battery in Kuwait and no strips. 🙄

What’s the point in making a ‘how to’ video that doesn’t show all the steps? If you’re going to sell batteries and the tool kit required to change a battery, then put up an instructional video, wouldn’t it be just as easy to make it a fully comprehensive guide rather than this vague highlight video?

whack instructions. its crucially important you tell people to soften up the adhesive holding the battery by using heat. failure to do that will make the the adhesive snap off easily when you tug on it.

Do not buy their kit, they do not provide all the necessary screws to open up your iphone, its actually disgraceful

Wow. This is why I have an Android phone. I can just pull off the back and pull out the battery. No tools needed.
