Sorry to say this as I hold your videos in high esteem, but I love it when things go wrong, it helps when I know its not always me. Great video and keep it up but I hear KZfaq advertising has or going down the pan, hope it doesn't hurt too bad.

LOL that makes sense! I'm gonna start posting stuff that don't work out. Haven't noticed much of a hit on the YT ad revenue but it doesn't really amount to much anyways. It is about $100 per month.

STS Telecom Hi I am extremely interested in learning this field of work, electronics have always interested me since a young age, at the age of 32 am I to old to learn something this complex? I do not want to go to college, I will be buying the equipment I need and try removing and fitting chips etc from phones I have laying around. What is the best and quickest way to learn basics through to intermediate techniques in practice and in theory? I want to learn about logic boards primarily. Thanks for your time, and anyone's else's who have opinions and recommendations regarding this.

I watched you say 30 minutes and I also saw a 52 minute video and said to myself he's going to run into trouble. Good job. I'm amazed at your common sense approach to diagnosis.

Lately touch ICs that I buy from China are all reballed and not new, and much more expensive! Better reballing. Great job, here learning as much as possible from you, thanks!

I would recommend to place a foil or something on the screen, before you place the phone on your desk where some particles might scratch the customers screen.

Have you done a video on just pure ultrasonic cleaning a logic board? Just wondering . I've seen other videos where the tech ultrasonic the board first before working on it and discovered it took care of the problem after cleaning the board? :)

Hi Jason.. yeah you wud be wondering when I will say that yes I am still using my iPhone 6plus since 2014. very recently I came across a touch issue where at times touch works (cant type in) and at times not. I got my touch screen replaced with a local shop. It's been over 2 months now, iPhone touch was working good (especially in the initial few weeks) and again I am facing the same Touch issue. with the days passing by, it's getting worse and coming back to the initial problem. I am confused either it's a Screen issue (where replacement wud work, however, it didn't last long on my device) OR as stated in this video, Mason, cumulus Broadcom touch ic issue. And if it's a mason issue, then how come the touch (touch on screen/typing) was working well after screen replacement ?? I am lost.

Hey Jason I dropped my iPhone 6+ and the touch screen doesn't work but sometimes it works for a short amount of time but most of the time it doesn't work I thought the problem was that the the touch screen connector is somehow damaged so I took it to a local technetion and he tried replacing the screen many times but the same problem remained so he told me that the touch ic is damaged and needs to be replaced but Idk for sure because I've had the same problem before but the touch wasn't working at all so is there any Chance that my touch ic is still working!

Buddy! What a great job, you're sensational. I'm your fan! What material is this you put in to protect the processor? Teach me how to do it? I'm also a technician, I'm from Brazil and I'm following your channel for study purposes. Is a mixture of copper and sponge it ?: I know it is to dissipate the heat ... How does it? God bless you always!

Best part is... Mason almost never goes bad! apple tests them rigorous... 30 minutes later Mason is heard slamming into the garbage! Nice jobs!! looks like you need to add bigger labels to the power connectors on that new multi phone power cable thing. you take too long to find which is the right one for the phone you presently have. LOL. backseat drivers! btw TACOCAT

Hey Jason, I had a prior attempt board come in with the ground pad directly to the left of m2 missing. Is that ground pad necessary? I was thinking of jumping it just in case but it's just so close to the m2 jumper I have put on

Have you ever seen 6 plus phone not recognize a SIM card after this repair? Well...it recognizes that there is a SIM card, but it wont get service. It will just say "searching..." in the top corner. Could that be an issue on the board?
@ststele
@ststele 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is almost certainly an issue with the board. As far as this happening after the touch repair... It is rare but it does happen often enough that is is worth mentioning. I believe when this happens there is something that was hanging by a thread to begin with. I've seen it happen after much less intrusive repairs as well like simple screen replacements. Many times it occurs alone without any issues with touch but other times they seem to occur together. I've not been able to draw a solid connection between the two issues other than weak PCB + bendy phone design.
@MTB91SC

Yep, that sounds probable to me. Thanks for your response.
