This week during our Iran trip, we visit the village of Abyaneh, which is approximately 90 km away from Kashan. We see the Harpak Zoroastrian Fire Temple in this fairy-tale village with its red houses and authentic clothes, bearing traces of the Persian, Sassanid, Safavid and Seljuk periods, and follow the traces of the past in its narrow stone streets. We taste the Abgush dish, which has an important place in Iranian food culture, in its traditional form at Sofrahane. Finally, we spend the evening in the narrow historical back streets of Kashan and learn about Iranian culture from past to present in a 120-year-old Iranian mansion called Tağ Çeşme.
